NBA 09: The Inside
NBA 09: the Inside is a basketball simulation game licensed by the National Basketball Association. It is the last title in the NBA series to be developed by SCE San Diego Studio for the PlayStation 3. The game includes all 30 NBA teams, as well as 14 of the NBDL teams. new features include The Life mode where players play through three different stories of a basketball player's rise into the NBA, customization of up to five different players in Franchise Mode, improvements to character animations and skin textures, and an upgraded online multplayer mode.
NBA 09: The Inside received lukewarm reviews with an average score of 64%, praised for its presentation and graphics, but criticized for its bugs and for ovreall lacking the detail and depth of other basketball titles.
NBA 09: The Inside was first released in October 2008, and was the first title in the NBA series to include trophy support. This also included 3 online trophies. Unfortunately, the online servers were shut down on July 16, 2009, which means those three online trophies cannot be unlocked. Therefore, the Platinum for NBA 09: The Inside is now Not Obtainable.
NBA 09: The Inside includes three online trophies: Online 5 Game Winner, Online 10 Game Winner, and Online 25 Game Winner, each earned for winning five, ten, and twenty-five online games, respectively. Unfortunately, the online servers were shut down on July 16, 2009, which means these three online trophies - as well as the platinum trophy - have become Not Obtainable. However, the game does still possess 24 offline trophies that can be unlocked, so if you're still interested, then read on.
Most of the offline trophies are straightforward, and don't require much of a road-map. But if you're in need of some direction, we suggest starting by going through The Life, which is the story-based mode where basketball players are making their way into the NBA. There are three stories to get through, the first regarding a Point Guard, the second either a Shooting Guard or Small Forward, and the third either a Power Forward or Center. Completing each story will unlock a silver trophy, and after completing all three to 100%, which means completing all the normal and extra mile goals, you will unlock The Life - All 3 Stories Completed gold trophy.
With that done, you can head into Franchise mode. Your ultimate goal here is to unlock the Franchise - Complete 20 Year Franchise With 5+ NBA Titles gold trophy. The difficulty setting here can be set to Rookie to make things easier. Also, these games can be simulated.
For the Quick Play mode trophies, you'll want to strive for the Quick Play - Defeat All 32 NBA Teams - All-Star gold trophy. While time consuming, this is actually quite easy if you have a second controller.
Lastly, there are a number of Mini Games related trophies to unlock. These involve defeating opponents with 5 or more points on one-on-one, two-on-two, and three-on-three games, as well as a few other miscellaneous trophies.
With those out of the way, simply mop-up whatever you still have remaining.
And unfortunately with the online servers shut down, this is as far as we can go.
