Horizon Zero Dawn

Horizon Zero Dawn is a third-person action adventure with RPG elements. Players use ranged weapons and stealth tactics to battle against mechanized creatures which can be looted for resources. Players can explore the open world, and upgrade their character through a skill tree which allows for both new abilities and passive bonuses.

Taking place a thousand years in the future, the world is now dominated by great mechanical creatures known as "machines," while humans have regressed to primitive tribal societies. Aloy has been cast out from her tribe at a young age, but soon learns that she may be the key to not only understanding the reason for humanity's regression, but a way to stop the machines from growing hostile.

Horizon Zero Dawn received critical acclaim with an average score of 90%, praised for its story, visuals, voice-acting talents, world exploration and environment, and combat system.

The difficulty of Horizon Zero Dawn can be compared to the Assassin's Creed series, only without the online trophies. There is nothing missable, which means you can play through the main story and complete it if you like, then enter a free-roam stage where you can unlock everything else. The game can also be played on Easy mode.

Expect roughly 40-50 hours, depending on your skills as well as whether or not you skip any of the dialogue.

Since there are no difficulty-related trophies, feel free to select Easy mode if you wish.

Also, since there are no missable trophies, feel free to sit back, relax, and enjoy the game before worrying about unlocking anything. However, it should be noted that the All Allies Joined trophy required you to have all the allies with you before starting The Looming Shadow portion of the main quest. This trophy is not missable, but if you miss it the first time, it simply means you will need to replay The Looming Shadow again later.

Once you've finished the main story and have entered the free roam stage, it's time to mop-up what's left. This may include completing all the side missions, as well as all the override, catalog, and kill related trophies.

Also, there are all the collectibles waiting for you. Buy the maps from the in-game vendors which illustrate the locations for some of these collectibles, to make things easier. Also, be sure to check out the collectible guides under our Links tab, as well. Finally, check out our Horizon Zero Dawn trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what trophies you may be missing at this point, and how to unlock them.

Enjoy!
