Need for Speed: Rivals PS4

Need for Speed: Rivals is a racing game which takes place in an open world. It is the twentieth installment in the Need for Speed series, and the first to also be released on the PlayStation 4.

Similar in gameplay to Hot Pursuit, players take on the role of either a Racer or Cop. Taking place in the fictional Redview County, players either race and face challenges, or take down the racers, depending on the player's role. Cars can be upgraded with 11 different gadgets, such as shockwaves and EMPs. The game also includes online multiplayer, which players can seemlessly jump in and out during play.

Need for Speed: Rivals received positive reviews, with an average score of 82%, praised for its improvement since Hot Pursuit, beautiful graphics, and intense racing.

If you're experienced with the Need for Speed series, or racing games in general, than this platinum shouldn't give you too much trouble. Two playthroughs are required, with some mopping up afterwards. There are two online trophies, which simply require you to play online with a friend.

The Platinum can be earned between 25-30 hours.

NOTE: The Trophies on the PS4 have a separate list than those on the PS3.

As we mentioned earlier, you'll need two playthroughs for this one. Start by selecting to play either as a Racer or Cop. Both playthroughs take roughly the same amount of time, and it doesn't matter which side you do first. Your ultimate goal as a Racer is to unlock the Professional Collector trophy, as well as Racer Rank 60. As a Cop, you'll want to aim for Upgrade Master, and Cop Rank 60. Once you've unlocked these trophies on one side, you can load up a new game and start on the other.

Afterwards, you can start mopping up any offline trophies you're still missing. This may include Gold Master, which requires earning 100 gold medals between both sides.

Once you have all the offline trophies unlocked, there are still two online trophies: Friendly Race and Buddy Bust. These are simple enough to unlock, though require you to have a "friend" with the game. You can either jump into multiplayer and start sending out friend invites, or check out the boosting forums in our Links page.
