Call of Duty: Black Ops

Call of Duty: Black Ops is a first-person shooter, and the seventh installment in the Call of Duty series. The game includes a "Zombie" mode, in addition to the standard single-player campaign and multiplayer.

Taking place during the Cold War of the '60's, the player goes behind enemy lines in various locations, including Cuba, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, and Laos, while taking control of various different characters as part of a Black Ops mission. The game also features historical characters, such as John F. Kennedy and Fidel Castro.

Black Ops enjoyed both financial and critical success, with an average score of 88%, praised for its polished graphics, exciting campaign, and overall fun multiplayer.

This rating, of course, depends on your skills at first-person shooters. If you're familiar with Call of Duty: World at War, you'll be happy to know that Black Ops is far easier to play on Veteran mode.

Trophies include story-related, specific challenges, collectibles, and a few online. On average, it may take you toughly 30 hours to complete, though of course this depends on your FPS skills.

If you're new to the Call of Duty series, or first-person shooters in general, we recommend beginning the game on Recruit mode. Otherwise, you can head straight into Veteran. During the campaign, you'll want to follow a Walkthrough to locate all the Intel, as well as complete various challenges along the way to claim certain trophies - see the Call of Duty Black Ops trophy guide links under our Links tab for further details.

Once that's finished, you should have only the online trophies left to deal with. Having completed the campaign, you'll have unlocked the Zombie mode - many of its trophies are easier to collect with other people rather than on your own. If you're having problems finding people to play with, we've included a Forum to find a boosting buddy under out Links tab.
