Agents of Mayhem
Agents of Mayhem is a third-person open-world action game set in the same fictional universe as the Saints Row series. With Saturday-morning cartoons and superhero films as its theme, the game takes place in a future version of Seoul, South Korea, nicknamed The City of Tomorrow. Players select from among twelve agents each with their own unique abilities, which can be upgraded through experience points, as well as by cash, skills, gadgets, and mods.
A supervillain organization known as L.E.G.I.O.N. is bent on world domination. Yet one of its ex-members, Persephone Brimstone, has decided to form a group of agents named M.A.Y.H.E.M. to stop the supervillain's evil deeds.
Agents of Mayhem received reasonably positive reviews with an average score of 64%, praised for its interesting characters, combat, and overall fun, though criticized by some for repetitive levels and an overall lack of polish.
This is a low 3-star rating. The game is fairly average in terms of difficulty, but the Platinum will require a great deal of time and grinding. You'll need to search for 350 collectibles in the form of Shards, upgrade all Agent playable characters to Level 20, and complete a minimum of 15 online missions which are not only time-consuming but available at three per day.
Expect between 55-70 hours for the Platinum, depending on skills and strategy.
First, it should be mentioned that you'll need to complete all missions on Level 7 or higher to unlock the Hardcore Gamer trophy. Level 7 is about Normal difficulty. However, if you die several times during a mission, the game will automatically bring the difficulty down, thereby negating the trophy. So either set the Level at 8 or 9 to play it safe, avoid dying more than three or four times during a mission, or simply use the chapter select after completing the game to replay missions.
Also, you will need to complete a minimum of 15 connected (online) contracts for the Contract Thriller trophy. We say a minimum of 15, because it has been reported by some players that the trophy did not unlock until after completing 18, 20, or even 25 contracts. Also, only 3 contracts are available each day, so it's a good idea to work on these during your playthrough.
Finally, you will need to complete 30 offline Mayhem & Agent contracts for the Contract Killer trophy which you'll gradually obtain as you send your agents out to the different regions of the Global Conflict. These can also take awhile, so work on these from the get-go as well, particularly the easy ones which don't require much time.
So, with all that in mind, work on completing all 57 missions, where you'll be unlocking several other trophies naturally along the way. A mission select will be available after you've completed the campaign. With all that done, it's time for some grinding to mop-up what's left. This will probably include upgrading all agents to Level 20, finding all 350 shards, and a few other miscellaneous trophies. Check out the collectibles location guides under our Links tab if you're having trouble finding some of the shards, and of course the Agents of Mayhem trophy guide links to see what you still need and their requirements.
