PlayStation Plus Free Games November 2020

The month is finally arriving, when some lucky gamers will get their hands on a brand-new PlayStation 5. To celebrate the launch of their latest console, Sony is giving away not two, but three freebies this month. Whether or not this will become a common practice remains to be seen.

First, there’s the action RPG Middle-earth: Shadow of War, a sequel to the popular 2014 Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. The story takes place between the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, players continue the adventures of the ranger Talion whose body is shared with the spirit of the elf lord Celebrimbor, who are creating an army to fight against Sauron by creating a new Ring of Power.

Next, there’s Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition, an upgrade of the original 2017 Hollow Knight which includes patches and slight graphical improvements. In this action adventure, players control a nameless knight journeying and learning the secrets of an ancient kingdom inhabited by insect-like creatures known as Hallownest.

And as a bonus, Sony is also releasing Bugsnax as a freebie for the PS5, available for download on the day of the new console’s launch, November 12. This first-person adventure game has players exploring a mysterious island and using various contraptions to capture the half-bug, half-snack creatures known as bugsnaks.

All three titles have Platinum trophies to unlock.

Obtaining all the trophies for Middle-earth: Shadow of War is not particularly difficult, though you will need to put in a good 45-50 hours for the Platinum.

The Platinum for Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition however, is no easy task. Not only are some boss battles quite challenging, but you’ll need roughly 100 hours of gameplay to unlock all the trophies.

Since Bugnax is a launch title for the PS5, we do not have any personal experience with the game or its Platinum difficulty. However, from an inside source, we have been informed that the game is overall rather easy, and the Platinum should only take around 10 hours or so.
