One of the most-anticipated movies of 2022 is The Batman, which is scheduled for a theatrical release this March. But with COVID-19 cases still surging in the US and around the world with the Omicron variant, some are wondering if Warner Bros. might delay the movie, not unlike how Sony moved Morbius from January to April.
WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar commented on the matter in an interview with Matthew Belloni for Puck News (via IndieWire). He said the film studio is confident with the March date for The Batman, at least right now.
“We’re certainly paying attention to everything going on with Omicron,” he said. “We feel good about the date right now. We’re gonna watch it day by day.”
