Dark Void

Dark Void is a third-person action shooter, which mixes on-ground and in-air combat, and makes use of a "vertical cover system" as well as a standard one. Players can upgrade through the use of Tech points at a shop between missions.

Taking place before World War II, William Augustus Grey is a cargo pilot who flies through the Bermuda Triangle, warping him to another world. Known as the 'Void,' Will meets up and joins a human race known as the Survivors, and uses advanced technology to defeat an alien race called the Watchers while searching for a way to escape the Void.

Dark Void received lukewarm reviews, with an average score of 62%, praised for its innovative jet pack and overall fun, but generally considered too short and generic in many areas.

Not a particularly difficult game, even when playing on Hardcore mode. Many trophies are standard for these types of action titles, such as weapon upgrades, kill-related, and a few collectibles, which can be mopped-up through a chapter select. While still warranting a 2-star rating, as the flying areas can be tricky, the game is significantly easier than the Uncharted series, and much shorter than Assassin's Creed II.

Overall, expect around 15 hours of gameplay on this one, depending on your skills.

The quickest way to that Platinum is to select Hardcore difficulty and play from beginning to end. Hardcore is not all that challenging, so long as you are patient and careful during the flying stages, and are a relatively good shot. Along the way, to save yourself time later, you can follow a walkthrough and collect journals for the Bookworm trophy, and use tech points to upgrade your jet pack and weapons.

Once you've completed your Hardcore playthrough, you can then change the difficulty to Casual and use the Chapter Select to mop-up any trophies you still require. Check out the trophy guides in our Links page for further details. This may include finding any missing journals, and fully upgrading your equipment for the Grease Monkey trophy through farming.

Expect around 7-8 hours if you're following a walkthrough, and more if you're attempting to do it on your own.

NOTE: The Trophies on the PS4 have a separate list than those on the PS3.

The platinum for this game can easily be obtained in one playthrough, and won't hinder your experience of the story. Aside from all the story-related trophies, the others involve either finding all collectibles in each set, or solving the few side-quests.

There are some areas which you cannot re-enter. Specifically, the Museum. Also, once you enter the Judgement House towards the end of the game, you won't be able to return. This means, make sure you find all the collectibles in the Museum before leaving, and everything else you need before you enter the Judgement House.

Before entering the Judgement House, should only need the following collectibles: 4 Info About My Killer, 4 Julia's Thoughts, 1 Profiler's Memories, 3 Salem's History, 1 Witch Trials History, and all the Ashes To Ashes collectibles. These you will find in the Judgement House. Everything else should be collected before entering.

To be on the safe side, we recommend using one of the collectible guides in our Links page for each area. Once you've completed the mission in that area and are free to roam, go back and find anything you're missing before moving on.

Otherwise, there's nothing else to say, except enjoy the game and have fun being a ghost.
