Cross Edge

Cross Edge is a J-RPG, which uses characters from other Japanese RPG titles, such as Darkstalkers, Disgaea, Melody of Elemia, Blazing Souls, and several others from different gaming companies.

The game is traditional in that it uses random battles, a world map, level grinding, and item combining and creation. Players explore the areas, engage in turn-based team battles, while enlisting members in their team and search for souls to release.

The game received negative to lukewarm reviews, with an average score of 42%, mainly criticized for technical issues, such as awkward menus and slow dialogue loading, as well as having ho-hum graphics.

This game can be completed in one playthrough - so long as you collect the missable trophies and stick closely to a walkthrough which reveals the "true ending." This is not a particularly difficult game as most RPGs go, but will require a lot of time just for a single playthrough.

Expect to invest anywhere between 140-180 hours into one playthrough.

First, you can go ahead and select any difficulty mode you wish. There are a few areas, such as the final world 5-3 which cannot be entered unless you're playing on Hard, but since there are no required souls or items, it won't affect any of the trophies. So if you wish to play on the easiest difficulty setting, you can.

Since there are only 23 trophies, this makes things easier to keep track of what you have and what you still need. Specifically, there are 4 missable trophies which you need to keep an eye on: The Stalker, The Patron, The Dood, and The Hikikomori. These require you to make certain choices and reach particular requirements throughout the game. And since one playthrough will take you over a hundred hours of gameplay, it's a good idea to follow a walkthrough under our Links tab during the course of your gameplay.
