PlayStation Plus Free Games June 2022

Worried about those pesky allergies? Well, Sony has the answer – stay indoors and play some games. Here is the next line-up of PlayStation Plus free games June 2022 available for download on Tuesday, June 7.

First, for the PS4, there’s the 2018 God of War. Taking place several years following the events of God of War III, Kratos sets off on another adventure with his son, traversing six different realms while battling against Norse gods using a new set of weapons.

Also for the PS4, there’s Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, a 4v4 online multiplayer where players can create their own customized character and fight enemies, set in the Naruto world.

Lastly, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, , a fighting game similar in style to Super Smash Bros, where players can select characters from various Nickelodeon programs including Avatar: The Last Airbender, Ren & Stimpy, Ninja Turtles, and SpongeBob SquarePants, and battle in single-player or online matches.

All three titles in the PlayStation Plus free games June 2022 line-up have Platinum trophies to unlock

The Platinum for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is by far the easiest and can be accomplished in under 10 hours. There are a few online trophies, though these can easily be boosted with a partner.

The Platinum for God of War is of average difficulty. There are no missable trophies since the game is open-world, though expect to search around for collectibles and challenges. Expect around 40-50 hours of gameplay for this one.

While the Platinum for Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is also fairly average in terms of difficulty, playing 1000 online battles will certainly take up most of your gameplay time, requiring just under 200 hours of gameplay.

2017 Tokyo Game Show Video Presentation (Day One)

Our video presentation of the 2017 Tokyo Game Show – Day One. Lots of big titles coming out, including God of War, Call of Duty: WW II, Detroit: Become Human, and Monster Hunter: World. Also see some wacky Japanese titles, like Gal Gun 2, and Earth Defense Force 5. Watch us get sprayed in the face with air guns, and exhaust ourselves on exorcise bikes!

Stay tuned for our 2017 Tokyo Game Show Video Presentation – Day Two, where we check out some interesting indie games and loads of Virtual Reality software and peripherals.

The 2017 Tokyo Game Show

Makuhari Messe first opened their doors to the press on Thursday, and are now wide open to the public where eager gamers are piling in to check out this year’s Tokyo Game Show. The crowds get bigger each year, but so too does the Tokyo Game Show ever since recovering from the global recession several years ago. All three main halls are now wall-to-wall with gaming companies and businesses, while an additional two more were open for indie games, VR, and an attempt to promote e-sports here in Japan.

2017 Tokyo Game Show

While there weren’t any main events or “must see” games or hardware this year, there were some titles we were thrilled to check out. The PlayStation booth had playable demos for Santa Monica Studio‘s God Of War, set to be released early next year, as well as Polyphony Digital‘s Gran Turismo Sport racing its way to stores next month, and the next Call of Duty: WWII set for release in November.

Other cool titles to try – and were heavily promoted – included Detroit: Become Human, the latest game from the developers of Heavy Rain set in a neo-noir future involving androids, planned for release sometime next year. And of course, Monster Hunter: World – the first Monster Hunter title to have Trophies! – coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in January. It’s apparent Monster Hunter: World is one of the more anticipated games here in Japan, with massive promotional booths at both the PlayStation area, as well as the Capcom spot which featured a massive dragon-like creature.

2017 Tokyo Game ShowOther titles being promoted by the bigger companies included Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer DLC coming next month from Square Enix, the remake of Ryu ga Gotoku 2 (Yakuza 2) titled Ryu ga Gotoku: Kiwami 2 by SEGA, as well as their Ryu ga Gotoku Online set for launch next year – which we suspect may not see an overseas release.

But in our opinion, the more exciting stuff was happening at the indie game and VR hall, were we saw – and tried – an assortment of experimental games, as well as new VR software and peripherals.

H2L, a Japanese company, had a new VR device called the First VR, which includes a simple wristband that not only tracks your arm movements, but when your hand is is opened or closed, allowing you to “pick up and drop” items in the virtual world.

Another Japanese developer, named Prodigy, worked with Joysound to create a boxing/karaoke game called Nagu Kara, meaning Punching Karaoke. Select your favorite song (we did Bon Jovi – It’s My Life) and sing into the mic to boost your strength, while using the motion controls to box your way to the top.

And Unbereal created a VR tank battle game called ArtiFight, where players moved their tanks forward and back by peddling on an exorcise bike, while turning and firing using hand controllers.

2017 Tokyo Game ShowChinese developer NetDragon had several “4D” VR games for demonstration, our favorite being D-Day, an on-rails shooter where you fire at multiple alien creatures using a gatling gun. Not only do you feel immersed in the action through the VR headset, but the whole seat and physical representation of the gatling gun moves and shakes depending on what’s happening in the game.

And the biggest event – requiring a 3 hour wait to try – was the Gyro VR from South Korea’s Sangwha. Enter a massive gyro like you might see at NASA, strap on the VR headset, and experience robot battles and extreme sports while being spun 360 degrees in sync to what’s happening in the virtual world.

Perhaps this was the first time the indie and VR games stole the show away from the bigger developers, marking the 2017 Tokyo Game Show an overall fun and intriguing experience!

God of War Ghost of Sparta Trophy Guide

God of War Ghost of Sparta Trophy Guide. Difficulty: **  A third-person action game and revamp of the 2010 title released on the PlayStation Portable. The Platinum is not any more or less difficult than other games in the series.

God of War: Ghost of Sparta ** 36 Ready at Dawn / Santa Monica Studio U.S. 20 10 5 0 0

God of War: Ghost of Sparta

God of War: Ghost of Sparta was first released for the PlayStation Portable in November of 2010, then revamped in HD for the PlayStation in September of 2011 as part of the God of War: Origins Collection, along with Chains of Olympus.

The game is a third-person action adventure, with a story taking place immediately after the events of God of War I. Kratos, now having replaced Ares as the god of war, travels to the Temple of Poseidon in Atlantis to uncover secrets of his past, and search for a way to rid himself of his nightmares.

Like all God of War titles, the original PSP version of Ghost of Sparta received only positive reviews, with an average score of 92%, praised for its great story, fantastic graphics, and being comparable to any non-portable console game.

This game isn't any less or more difficult than other God of War titles. The Platinum can be earned with the same, usual roadmap - play the game on Hard mode, find all the collectibles, beat the Challenge of the Gods.

Can be completed in under 12 hours, particularly if you have experience with the series.

If you're in a rush for that Platinum, then you'll want to begin your game on Hard mode to unlock Zeus May Cry along with Only One Remains. Along the way, there are the usual collectibles to find - Gorgon Eyes and Phoenix Feathers - in addition to finding all the Minotaur Horns and the Godly Possessions. You may want to follow one of the walkthroughs we've posted in our Links page to locate all these collectibles so as to avoid a second playthrough. In addition, there are three missable trophies to watch out for: Make Her Scream, A Hero's Welcome, and The Midas Trick. Check out the trophy guides in our Links page for further details on how/when to collect these trophies.

Once you've finished the game, you'll have unlocked the Combat Arena, which you can use to mop-up the other trophies which may include farming for red orbs, acquiring the Grave Digger's Shovel as the final relic, get any combat-related trophies you're missing, and even perform the 1000-hit combo for the Greatest Hits trophy.

If all went well, then you should only have the Challenge of the Gods to complete, which includes 13 individual challenges. Check out the God of War Ghost of Olympus trophy guide links under our Links tab if you're having trouble with these.

God of War Chains of Olympus Trophy Guide

God of War Chains of Olympus Trophy Guide. Difficulty: **  A third-person action game and revamp of the 2008 title released on the PlayStation Portable. The Platinum is arguably easier and quicker than others in the series.

Game Name Difficulty Trophies Developer Country Bronze Silver Gold Online DLC
God of War: Chains of Olympus ** 36 Ready at Dawn / Santa Monica Studio U.S. 20 10 5 0 0

God of War: Chains of Olympus

God of War: Chains of Olympus was originally released for the PlayStation Portable in March of 2008, and was remastered with trophy support for the PlayStation 3 in September of 2011 as part of the God of War: Origins Collection, along with Ghost of Sparta.

The game is a third-person action adventure, and is a prequel to the original God of War I. Kratos, no longer a servant of Ares, now helps the other Gods of Olympus in hopes they might free him from the nightmares of his past. After having successfully defended Attica from the Persians, Morpheus - the God of Dreams - has caused many gods to fall into slumber during a sudden darkness. Athena asks Kratos to seek out the missing sun god Helios in order to end the fog of darkness and awaken the Olympian Gods.

Despite being criticized for its short length in gameplay and simple boss battles, the PSP version of Chains of Olympus received high praise for its same epic feel as the original God of War titles, with an average score of 92%.

If you've played any of the original God of War titles, then you should have a good idea of the difficulty level for acquiring the platinum for this game. In fact, Chains of Olympus is considered easier than GOW I, II, and III, since the collectibles are much easier to find, and the "Challenge of Hades" is a piece of cake compared to the previous "Challenges."

Overall, if you have experience with the GOW titles and manage to complete your first playthrough on Hard while acquiring all the collectibles and missable trophies, then it should only take roughly 10 hours to obtain the Platinum.

If you're in a rush for that Platinum, then start on Hard mode, which you'll need to complete for the Getting Your Money's Worth trophy. Along the way, you'll need to collect all 15 Gorgon Eyes, all 15 Phoenix Feathers, and upgrade all your weapons by unlocking all the chests you come across. Also, take not that there are 4 missable trophies: Two Girls One Spartan, Collateral Damage, Mutton For Punishment, and Old Softie. Check out the God of War Chains of Olympus trophy guide links under our Links tab for further details, and make multiple saves along the way to avoid having to replay the entire game should you miss one of those four trophies.

Once you've finished the game and collected nearly all the trophies, start a new game - on Easy, if you like - using an unlocked costume for the Cosplayer trophy. Don't worry, you needn't play the entire game again with this costume for the trophy - in less than a minute, you should hear that bling.

All that should be left is completing the "Challenge of Hades," for the Piece Of Cake trophy. Luckily, there are only 5 challenges, and are far easier than those challenges in the original God of War titles.
