Hitman GO: Definitive Edition

Hitman GO is a turn-based puzzle game based on the Hitman series. The game was first released on the iOS and Android in 2014, before being ported onto the PS4 and PS Vita in 2016.

Players control the Hitman’s protagonist Agent 47, moving across lines from node to node in turn with enemy players. Objectives vary, from reaching the end node, to assassinating specific enemies. As players progress through the levels, the game takes on more complex aspects, such as trapdoors for warping, and different enemies with unique movements.

The original Hitman GO received positive reviews with an average score of 80%, praised for the games visuals, gameplay mechanics, and overall fun.

Since Hitman GO is a turn-based puzzle game, players can simply follow walkthroughs step-by-step, to clear all the levels in each chapter. This makes for a very quick and easy Platinum. A chapter select is also available for mopping up those few miscellaneous trophies.

If following a walkthrough, the Platinum can be unlocked in just 3-4 hours.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 version share the same list with those on the PS Vita.

If you’re in a rush for the Platinum, then simply follow the guides and walkthroughs under our Links tab. There are seven chapters in total, each with a varying number of levels. If following the walkthroughs, than completing all chapters should only take a couple hours.

As you play through, be sure to NEVER press the Triangle button to receive a hint. Doing so will lock you out of obtaining the Silent Assassin trophy, which requires you to get through the game without using any hints. If you happen to press Triangle, you’ll need to start a new game.

Once you’ve completed all the chapters, you can use the chapter select to mop-up any few trophies that may still be outstanding. Be sure to check out the Hitman GO trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you’re missing and their requirements.

PlayStation Plus Free Games February 2019

Enter February, the most romantic month in the year as it hosts Valentine’s Day. And what better way to celebrate this amorous occasion than by playing some violent games. And so, here is the next line-up of PlayStation Plus Free Games February 2019 that are available for download on February 5.

On the PlayStation 4, there’s For Honor, a hack n’slash where knights, vikings, and samurai battle in a medieval setting. And Season 1 of Hitman, the 2016 stealth game told in an episodic format.

For the PlayStation 3, there’s the 2008 Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, the stealth action title by Hideo Kojima, and has been revamped with trophy support. And Divekick, a 2D comical fighting game which parodies other games in the same genre. Divekick is a cross-plat with the PS Vita.

And on the PlayStation Vita, there’s Gunhouse, a cross between a tower-defense and puzzle game where players must defend orphans against an alien invasion. Gunhouse is also a cross-plat with the PS4. And Rogue Aces, an air combat game where players face off against the Baron in order to liberate some islands.

Among the PlayStation Plus Free Games February 2019 titles, For Honor, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, and Rogue Aces have Platinum trophies to unlock.

Among these, the Platinum for Rogue Aces is not too difficult once you get the hang of the controls, and requires only around 18 hours. For Honor is is of average difficulty, but requires at least 60 hours for the Platinum, while Metal Gear Solid 4 can be quite challenging and needs at least 80 hours.

Also, unlocking 100% of the trophies on Hitman is not particularly difficult and only needs about 20 hours. Divekick is an easy game to get all the trophies as long as you have the patience to grind for over 100 hours online.

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin HD

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin HD is a third-person stealth game originally released on sixth-generation consoles in 2002, and revamped in HD quality with trophy support for the PlayStation 3 in 2013, and is a sequel to Hitman: Codename 47 released for the PC in 2000. The gameplay is mission-based, in which players are given a set of objectives, often including assassinating several people.

Following the events of the prequel, Agent 47 has faked his death and retired from the assassin business, working as a gardner at a church in Sicily. However, when his mentor Father Vittorio is kidnapped and left with a ransom note, Agent 47 is forced to return to his post as an ICA assassin in order to save his friend.

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin in 2002 received positive reviews, with an average score of 85%, praised for its overall fun and excitement, but criticized for poor AI intelligence.

The 3-star difficulty is for a combination of needing to get used to the controls, requiring at least three full playthroughs, and the skills needed for clearing the game on professional difficulty, which can be quite challenging - particularly if this is your first time playing a Hitman title, or are not using any guides for help.

Expect to spend anywhere between 20-40 hours working on the Platinum, depending on your skills.

Before selecting which difficulty to play on, there are a few trophies to consider. You will need to play on professional mode to unlock the 5 Professional Silent Assassins trophy, as well as the Professional Mode Complete trophy. Also, you will need three playthroughs in order to collect all the weapons for the weapon-related trophies, as well as a few other miscellaneous trophies you have missed during your first (or second) playthrough. Changing the difficulty will reset all your progress, so it's up to you if you prefer to perform your three playthroughs on Normal, then do an extra playthrough on Professional, or simply do all three playthroughs on Professional. It's a matter of time consumption versus frustration.

Regardless which difficulty you select, your main objective should be finding all the weapons. There are a total of 31 firearms, as well as 8 melee weapons, 8 hand guns, 3 machine guns, 2 assault rifles, 3 shotguns, 6 sniper rifles, and some heavy weapons. In order for a weapon to be considered 'found,' you must not only find it, but also keep it with you until the end of the mission. This is one of the reasons for requiring three playthroughs, as you can only carry 2 handed weapons at a time. It's worth following one of the guides under our Links tab to help you with this.

Also, there are a number of kill-related trophies to worry about, which you should also be working on towards your three playthroughs. It should be worth nothing that skinning animals will NOT count towards your trophy - these must be done to humans.
