Jak X: Combat Racing

Jak X: Combat Racing is a vehicular combat, arcade-style racing game based on the Jak and Daxter series. The game was first released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2, before being revamped with trophy support for the PlayStation 4 in 2017.

Players control characters from the Jak and Daxter series, racing in customizable cars resembling dune buggies. In Adventure mode, Jak must participate in Eco Cup Champions in order to obtain the antidote to a poison. In Exhibition mode, players can select other characters and race freely. Vehicular combat is also a major segment of the game, in which players can pick up offensive and defensive weapons to use against other racers.

The original Jak X: Combat Racing received positive reviews with an average score of 78%, praised for its graphics, variety in gameplay modes, and multiplayer, though criticized by some for its difficulty curve.

The difficulty of this game entirely depends on your racing skills and experience, as well as a bit of luck. The game as a mixture of some easy races, and challenging ones which may require several retries until cleared. Overall, with enough patience, any average player can push through and get that Platinum without too much difficulty or much time required. There are no online trophies to worry about, and no missable trophies, either.

Expect around 12-15 hours for the Platinum, depending on your racing skills and a bit of luck.

We recommend beginning with Adventure mode, which is the main story for the game. This is divided into four tournaments called Eco Cups, with 20 races in each. You will eventually need to get Gold in each individual race for each Eco Cup’s respective trophy. However, there are no missable trophies, so feel free to move on if a particular race is too difficult, and return to it later.

Next, you’ll need at least 500,000 Precursor Orbs to spend on unlockables, which in turn will net you more trophies. If you’ve managed to get Gold on all races in Adventure mode, than you should already have your 500,000 Precursor Orbs. If not, then this is a good chance to go back and get Gold on any races you’re missing.

Now it’s time to do some shopping. To save time, first make a back-up save on a separate slot. Then visit either the Secret Shop in the main menu, or the Garage in the Yellow Eco Cup in Adventure mode, and start buying items and upgrades to unlock their respective trophies. Check out the Jak X Combat Racing trophy guide links under our Links tab for details on these trophies.

Once you’ve bought all you can, exit out and reload the previous save with the 500,000 Precursor Orbs to buy what you’re still missing.

After that, simply mop-up whatever trophies you may still be missing before getting the Platinum. Again, check out the Jak X Combat Racing trophy guide links to see what you still need and their requirements.

Jak 3 HD

Jak 3 HD is a third-person adventure platformer, and a direct sequel to Jak II. The game was first released on the PlayStation 2 in 2004, and revamped in HD for the PlayStation 3 with trophy support in 2012

A year has passed since the events in Jak II, and Jak, Daxter and Pecker find themselves in the Wasteland desert after being banished by Count Veger. They are rescued from the heat and taken to Spragus City by a mercenary named Damas. Jak, along with his friends, continue their adventure in a coming battle for the city.

Jak 3 on the PlayStation 2 received positive reviews, with an average score of 86%, praised for its action, weapon ability, storytelling, and overall great end to the series.

In terms of difficulty, Jak 3 is about the same, if not slightly easier than Jak II, though certainly more challenging than the original. Requires one full playthrough, plus a chapter select to mop-up what you missed. And yes, there are many orbs to collect.

Overall, expect roughly 20-25 hours to obtain the Platinum.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS3 and PS Vita.

First, you can simply enjoy the game and play it from beginning to end, in which you'll unlock all the story-related trophies along the way. There is a chapter select available, so don't worry about any missable trophies.

The majority of the trophies are story-related, with the exception of finding collectibles and a few mini-games. Only one playthrough is required, with the freedom to return and unlock any other trophies afterwards, which means there are no missable trophies.

PlayStation Move Heroes

PlayStation Move Heroes is an action adventure which utilizes the PlayStation Move controller, and a cross-over with the Jak and Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, and Sly Cooper series. Players play through and clear a series of levels, each based on environments from the character's respective games. The game includes both single-player and two-player co-op.

Aliens Lunk and Gleeber have stolen chunks from the worlds of Jak, Ratchet and Sly in order to create a ring around their planet. The three heroes must compete in a series of challenges in order to show off their skills and decide who is the best hero.

PlayStation Move Heroes received rather negative reviews, with an average score of 52%, criticized for its controls, dull story, and boring set of mini-games.

Getting gold medals on some of the challenges can be pretty tricky. Still, anyone with average gaming skills shouldn't have any problem unlocking the platinum. The trophies are straight forward, and since it's a collection of mini-games, there's nothing missable.

Expect around 20 hours to Platinum, depending on your skills.

NOTE: You will need 2 Move controllers to unlock some of the trophies.

You'll first want to start by going through the single player challenges. You'll want to focus on finding collectibles, working towards some of the skill-related trophies, and attempting to get gold medals for each challenge. Don't worry if you can't do this all at once, as you can always come back to each challenge later.

Once you've gone through the game, you can now go back and mop-up any single player trophies you missed, such as finding the remaining collectibles, skill-related trophies, and getting gold medals on all the challenges.

Next, are the Diamond challenges. These can be done with a single player, but are much easier with a friend. You'll need to get gold on each, as well.

Finally, call your friend over, plug in a second Move controller, and unlock the remaining Team Play challenges.
