Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is a third-person action title, and a sequel to the 2007 Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, released on the PlayStation 3 before trophy support. The game centers its play around its co-op feature, in which the second character Kane supports the primary player Lynch either as an NPC or controlled by a second player. In addition to online co-op, the game also includes various competitive multiplayer modes.

Taking place following the events of the first game, the duo went their separate ways. Lynch begins a new life in Shanghai with his girlfriend, while working for a crime organization. After learning of a plan to smuggle guns to Africa, he contacts his old buddy Kane to get in on the deal.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days received mixed but generally positive reviews, with an average score of 67%, praised for its multiplayer mode and visuals, but criticized for its short campaign and racism against Chinese.

It's possible to perform only one playthrough with some mopping up afterwards via chapter select, so long as you have a co-op partner and you select Extreme difficulty. Otherwise, you may find yourself playing at least twice to gather many of the offline trophies.

There are 11 online trophies, and while boosting is tricky since you can't invite friends into ranked games, it is possible. Still, the online is where you'll be spending most of your time.

Expect at least 60 hours if not more, on this game for the Platinum.

At some point you will need to complete the game on Extreme difficulty for the Dead Men Rising trophy, and complete the game with 2-player co-op for the End Of The Road trophy. So it's up to you whether you wish to earn these two trophies at the same time, or perform separate playthroughs. Either way, the campaign isn't very long and you'll still need to mop-up some of the kill-related and other miscellaneous trophies via chapter select.

Once that's completed, you'll still have the 11 online trophies to gather. This is where the vast amount of hours will be put into the game. Boosting is possible but difficult to accomplish, since you cannot invite friends and requires a group of eight. This means, even if you have seven other boosting partners, there's no guarantee you'll wind up in the same ranked game. We at Trophy Hunter found it easier just to earn these online trophies legitimately.

Good luck!
