Lord of the Rings: Conquest

Based on the "Lord of the Rings" films/book, and with similar gameplay to the "Star Wars: Battlefront" series - of which was created by the same developer, Lord of the Rings: Conquest is an action third-person battle in which the player takes control of one of four classes of characters, fighting in wars both inspired by the story as well as alternate battles.

Ratings have been exceptionally mixed, ranging from 4 to 87 out of ten, with an average of 55%, criticized for its poor graphics, redundancy of gameplay and serious connection problems with the online servers.

The game was released in January of 2009. Only 14 months later, Electronic Arts decided to shut down the online servers. There are 48 trophies in total, and 12 are online. But without the EA servers, those 12 trophies cannot be acquired, which means the Platinum for this game is no longer obtainable.

If you just wish to add trophies to your overall count, the offline challenges are not particularly difficult. But you'll NEVER see 100% completion on your stats.

Most of the offline trophies are story-based, which require a set number of objectives to move onto the next level. Other trophies include scoring combos, headshot kills, and killing a set number of enemies without losing a life, many of which will naturally be acquired without much effort during the course of the game.

The 12 online trophies cannot be acquired since EA shutdown the servers in March of 2010.

Lord of the Rings Aragorns Quest Trophy Guide

Lord of the Rings Aragorns Quest Trophy Guide. Difficulty: **  A third-person action adventure based on Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings Trilogy. With the exception of a few frustrating challenges and finding collectibles, the Platinum is doable for any average gamer.

Lord of the Rings: Aragorn’s Quest

Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest is a third-person action adventure game based on Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. The game is divided into two sections: playing as Aragorn during the War of the Ring, and playing as Sam's son Frodo in the Shire. The game is also compatible with the PlayStation Move controller. Both Viggo Mortensen and Sean Austin lend their voice talents for their respective characters.

Taking place fifteen years following the events of the Lord of the Rings films, Aragorn, King of Gondor, is making his way to visit the Shire. Sam is now Mayor of the Shire, and while his son Frodo is working hard to prepare for Aragorn's arrival, Sam tells him the story of Aragorn's adventure during the War of the Ring.

Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest received lukewarm reviews with an average score of 60%, praised by some for being a fun gaming adventure, though criticized by others for its repetitive gameplay and for being a seemingly rushed port of the Wii version.

Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest is aimed at younger players, and therefore not particularly difficult. While there are a few challenges that may be a little frustrating at times, most of the gameplay time involves completing quests and finding collectibles. Nothing any average gamer can't handle.

Without experiencing any glitches, expect roughly 18 hours for the Platinum.

NOTE: A second controller is required for a few trophies.

Start by simply going through the game. During your playthrough, we recommend completing all the side-quests for each level. Be wary of The Key To The Shire trophy, as it's possible to miss some of the Shire side-quests if you don't return there between chapters and complete them. Completing all the side-quests will unlock the Meanderer trophy. Check out the Quest Guides under our Links tab to help you.

After that, it's time to find all those collectibles. This includes all the Fellowship tokens for The Fellowship trophy, all the lore items for the Expert In Lore trophy, and all the upgrades for the Accomplished trophy. Check out the Links tab for guides to help you with this.

Finally, it's time to mop-up anything you may still be missing. This most likely will include the Middle-Earth Annihilation trophy for defeating 2,500 enemies, to which we recommend grinding in the Black Gate chapter where there are plenty of enemies and unlimited arrows. Check out the Lord of the Rings Aragorns Quest trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you're still missing and their requirements.

Lord of the Rings: War in the North Trophy Guide

Lord of the Rings: War in the North

Lord of the Rings: War in the North is a third-person action RPG and is based on both The Lord of the Rings novels by J.R.R. Tolkien and Peter Jackson's films of the same name. The game takes place in the northern regions of Middle-Earth during the time of the Lord of the Rings, where players alternate between three different characters, each with their own unique abilities.

Three companions, Eradan, farin, and Andriel, meet with Aragorn at the Prancing Pony in Bree, where they learn of an army of orcs forming in the ruins of Fornost, under Sauron's command. The three are requested to travel North and distract the orcs while Aragorn assist the soon-to-arrive Hobbit carrying an important object.

Lord of the Rings: War in the North received lukewarm reviews with an average score of 68%, praised for its overall fun and combat, but criticized for its bland characters, lack of uniqueness among the three playable-characters, AI issues, and technical problems.

Lord of the Rings: War in the North is not particularly long, as RPG titles go, nor is there too much skill needed. The game does require 3 playthroughs however, one for each of its three difficulty modes. Also, there is one online trophy, which requires two other online players.

Expect roughly 30-35 hours of gameplay for the Platinum trophy.

You'll first want to play on Normal difficulty, from beginning to end. There are a number of story-related trophies you'll be unlocking along the way, as well as a few miscellaneous ones. Also, there is a trophy linked with each of the three playable characters. Since Farin is arguably the strongest character and so will be used in the second and third playthrough, we recommend focusing on unlocking the Herb-Master trophy for creating 15 potions with Andriel, then switch to Eraden until you've gotten the Seeker trophy for finding 25 hidden passages.

There are also four missable trophies which we recommend unlocking during your first playthrough. The Lidless Eye trophy for completing this sidequest by finding all seven unique scrolls, the Friend Of The Ring-Bearer trophy for speaking with Frodo at the beginning of Chapter 3, the Friend Of The Woodland Realm trophy for freeing the elf from the captors in the Woodland Marshes in Chapter 5, and the Eagle Savior trophy for NOT summoning Beleram during the final boss battle against Agandaur.

Once you've completed your first playthrough and unlocked a good chunk of the trophies, it's time to start your second on Heroic difficulty. Here, we recommend using Farin since his Explosive Bolt skill is highly effective. During this playthrough, try to mop-up any other miscellaneous trophies you still need. Be sure to check the Lord of the Rings: War in the North trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.

After that, it's time for your third and, hopefully, final playthrough - this time on Legendary difficulty. Again, we recommend using Farin and work on any other remaining trophies.

Finally, at any point during your gameplay, you'll need to unlock the single online trophy, Strength Of Our Alliance, which involves slaying an enemy together with two other players. You will all need to hit the Triangle button at the same time to perform a critical hit. If you're having trouble finding players, check out the boosting forums under our Links tab.
