MLB 10: The Show

MLB 10: The Show is a baseball sports game, the fifth in the MLB: The Show series, and part of the Major League Baseball series exclusive to the PlayStation consoles. New features include a Home Run Derby, the ability to call pitches and play as the field general, a movie maker to create a single movie using up to ten recorded replays, five additional Minor League stadiums, and improvements to the online experience. The online servers were closed on March 21, 2011.

MLB 10: The Show received outstanding reviews, with an average score of 91%, praised for its fantastic visuals, smooth animations, and overall presentation.

The game was released on March 2, 2010. Almost exactly one year later, the online servers were closed. MLB 10: The Show contains 3 online trophies, which are now unlockable. Therefore, the Platinum for this game has become Not Obtainable.

The online servers were closed on March 21, 2011, which means the 3 online trophies are no longer unlockable, making the Platinum Not Obtainable. However, there are still 40 other trophies you can earn offline, so if you're interested, then read on.

There are a few missable trophies to watch out for. We recommend beginning as a catcher in RTTS mode, and focus on calling a pitchout on a steal attempt for the Timing Is Everything trophy, call a quality start for the Call It trophy, and throw out two runners attempting to steal a base for the Stolen Thunder trophy. Once these three trophies are out of the way, you can simulate the rest of the career. Next, you'll want to aim for the Make The Call...Again trophy. This one requires a bit of strategy and explaining, so check out the MLB 10 The Show trophy guide links under our Links tab. Finally, continue the career and work on unlocking Professional Trainer, RTTS Derby, Mr October, and the RTTS Back To Back trophies. Last, start a new RTTS as a pitcher, and work on unlocking the Sim Game and RTTS Road Warrior trophies.

With that done, if you like, you can go for the Around The World trophy by starting a season. To make things quicker, set each game for 1 inning, and simulate the first 82 games During this process, you can also unlock the Contender, Pennant Race, and Victory Is Mine trophies.

After all that, it's just a matter of mopping-up anything you're still missing. Be sure to check out the MLB 10 The Show trophy guide links under our Links tab for details on what you're missing and how to get it.

Unfortunately, with the servers closed, this is as far as we go.
