Arcade Game Series: Pac-Man

Arcade Game Series: Pac-Man is a revamp of the classic 1980 Pac-Man arcade game by Namco. The game involves maneuvering through a maze, eating pellets for points while avoiding the four ghosts which will end the player's life upon contact. Eating a Power Pellet will cause the ghosts to turn blue, allowing the player to eat them for extra points, while fruits appear as bonus items that can be eaten for more points.

The original 1980 Pac-Man, while receiving mediocre popularity in Japan, was an immediate success in North America. It has since spawned both sequels and clones, as well as animated TV programs and a variety of merchandise.

This is a high 1-star rating, as some of the trophies can be rather tricky; especially for those who have never played Pac-Man. However, a save exploit allows you to try over and over for whichever trophy you are going for.

If using the save exploit, the Platinum can be earned in just a few hours, depending on your skills.

It should be known that a "Save Exploit" is available if you're having trouble with some of the trophies. At any point in your game, select "Save & Quit" which will return you to the Main Menu. From here, back up your save to either the PS+ Cloud if you are a PS+ member, or via USB. Then simply continue playing, and reload your previous save if you died or made an error. This exploit will come in handy when going for some of the more challenging trophies.

Also, under the game's setting menu, you can enable Round Select, as well as add more lives to your game. To start off, simply play the game and work towards clearing Round 17. This will award you with several trophies for clearing certain rounds, including the Round 17 Cleared trophy. Remember to use the Save Exploit if you're having trouble. Also, there are a number of trophies related to eating the various fruits and items that appear after certain rounds, so be sure to go after those as well, if possible.

Once that's done, it's simply a matter of mopping-up the remaining trophies. This may include the Om Nom Nom trophy, which requires eating 2 fruits and all four ghosts in succession four times in a single round. If you're having trouble with this one, check out the video under our Links tab. Also, be sure to check out the Arcade Game Series Pac-Man trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what trophies you still need and their requirements.

Arcade Game Series: Ms. Pac-Man

Arcade Game Series: Ms. Pac-Man is a revamp of the classic 1982 Ms. Pac-Man arcade game by Midway Manufacturing. Similar to its predecessor Pac-Man, the game involves maneuvering through a maze, eating pellets for points while avoiding the four ghosts which will end the player's life upon contact. Eating a Power Pellet will cause the ghosts to turn blue, allowing the player to eat them for extra points, while fruits appear as bonus items that can be eaten for more points. Unlike its predecessor, Ms. Pack-Man features four different mazes, more warp tunnels, and changes in the ghosts' behavioral pattern.

The original 1982 Ms. Pac-Man was the most commercially and critically successful arcade games in its year, and has continued to be ported onto multiple consoles.

This is a high 1-star rating, as some of the trophies can be rather tricky; especially for those who have never played Ms. Pac-Man or even regular Pac-Man before. However, a save exploit allows you to try over and over for whichever trophy you are going for.

If using the save exploit, the Platinum can be earned in just a few hours, depending on your skills.

It should be known that a "Save Exploit" is available if you're having any trouble with some of the trophies. At any point in your game, select "Save & Quit" which will return you to the Main Menu. From here, back up your save to either the PS+ Cloud if you are a PS+ member, or via USB. Then simply continue playing, and reload your previous save if you died or made an error. Also, there are a number of trophies related to eating the various fruits that appear, so be sure to go after those as well, if possible.

Once that's done, it's simply a matter of mopping-up the remaining trophies. This may include the Perfect trophy, which requires eating two fruits and all four ghosts in succession four times in a single round. Arcade Game Series: Dig Dug * 21 Namco Bandai Japan 6 5 9 0 0

Arcade Game Series: Dig Dug

Arcade Game Series: Dig Dug is a revamp of the classic 1982 Dig Dug arcade game by Namco Bandai. The object of the game is to eliminate underground monsters by either dropping rocks on them, or inflating them to explosion through use of an air pump. The player-character Dig Dug is killed if caught by one of the monsters, crushed by a rock, or burned burned by the fire of a green dragon. If the player drops two rocks, a bonus item will appear which awards extra points when collected.

The original 1982 Dig Dug was a commercial and critical success in its time, spawning a number of sequels and re-releases on various consoles and computers.

While frustrating at times, the Platinum is overall quite doable in a short amount of time - provided that you're making use of a save exploit. Naturally, both the game and its Platinum will be easier for those with prior experience with the original Dig Dug.

Expect roughly 3-5 hours provided that you're using the save exploit, and depending on your skills.

Before beginning, it would be incredibly beneficial to learn of the Save Exploit which will make your hunt for the Platinum trophy much easier. At any point in the game, you can Save & Quit, which will then return you to the Menu screen. From here, close the game and backup your save either to the PS+ Cloud or on a USB HD. This way, you can simply reload your save when you need to try again at whatever trophy you are working on, such as the Centurion trophy.

Also, it's worth noting that once the game has started, you can hit the Options button to enter the Menu, where you can up the starting number of lives to 5, as well as changing the amount of points required for an extra live, as well as a level select.

For the most part, you can go for whatever trophies in whichever order you choose, though we recommend going for the easier ones first, in order to help get acquainted or re-acquainted with the game. These include passing the first two rounds for both Round 1 Cleared and Round 2 Cleared trophies, passing through an inflated enemy for the Just Passing Through trophy, defeating an enemy on the surface for the Surface Assassin trophy, clearing a round without digging for the Clean Harpoon trophy, and digging out whole levels for both the Dig and Rambler trophies.

Once you feel you're getting the hang of the game, it's time to go after those collectible related trophies, to which there are 9 in total. Many of these bonus items will drop on certain levels, so check out the Arcade Game Series Dig Dug trophy guide links under our Links tab to see which ones you need and when they'll appear. Also, to save time, you can go for the Centurion trophy which involves defeating 100 enemies on one playthrough. Be sure to use the save exploit to make this easier on yourself.

Finally, simply mop up any remaining trophies you need for the Platinum. Again, check out the Arcade Game Series Dig Dug trophy guide links under our Links tab to see their requirements.

Arcade Game Series: Galaga

Arcade Game Series: Galaga is a revamp of the classic 1981 Galaga arcade game by Namco Bandai. The game is one of the original shoot em ups in which players control a starship at the bottom of the screen which can move side to side and fire. Enemy aliens first arrive in formation before dropping bombs or attempting to collide into the player. The revamped version also includes a stage select, as well as extra lives.

The original 1981 Galaga was one of the most commercially and critically successful games in its time, for its fast-paced shooting action and charm, with over a dozen sequels developed over the years.

This is a high one-star rating, as some of the trophies can be rather tricky; especially for those who have never played Galaga before. However, a save exploit allows you to try over and over for whichever trophy you are going for.

If using the save exploit, the Platinum can be earned in just a few hours, depending on your skills.

This way, you can simply reload your save when you need to try again at whatever trophy you are working on, such as the Stage Perfect trophies.

With that now known, it's time to play. First, simply play through until you reach Stage 31, which will automatically unlock nine trophies along the way. If you wish to make things easier, go into game settings and select 5 extra lives, as well as enable stage select.

With that done, it's time to go after the seven Stage Perfect trophies, which require you to obtain a Perfect Bonus on Challenge Levels from 11 to 31. Here is where the save exploit will really come in handy.

Finally, simply mop-up the last few remaining trophies, and enjoy your new Platinum. Be sure to check out the Arcade Game Series Galaga trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you're missing and their requirements.

Splatterhouse

Splatterhouse is a horror hack-and-slash, and a reboot of the 1998 game of the same name. Players battle enemies with either makeshift weapons or in hand-to-hand combat with a variety of attacks and chained combos, with the ability to unlock new moves and special attacks.

After his girlfriend is kidnapped at the hands of Dr. West's experiments, Rick is left for dead in the attack. He finds and puts on the Terror Mask which transforms him into a beast that gains strength through the blood of others. With this new dark power, Rick trails after Dr. West in order to stop his evil plans and rescue his girlfriend.

Splatterhouse received mixed reviews, with an average score of 56%, praised by some for its story, visuals, and overall fun, while criticized by others for its poor mechanics, shallow gameplay, and tasteless design.

Splatterhouse requires two full playthroughs, one on its hardest difficulty, as well as earning S Ranks in the Survival Arena stages. The Survival Arena stages can be a bit frustrating at times, as well as a few moments when playing on its hardest difficulty. But overall, the Platinum is quite doable for any average gamer with enough patience.

Expect roughly 20 hours of gameplay, depending on your skills.

You will first need to complete one full playthrough in order to unlock Brutal mode, so feel free to start on whatever difficulty mode you wish. Aside from the story-related trophies you'll naturally unlock during your first playthrough, you should also focus on the many kill-related trophies, as well as finding all the collectibles in the form of gramophones and photos of Jen.

Once you've completed your first playthrough, you will have unlocked Brutal mode. Start your second playthrough on this mode, while working on any kill-related trophies you may still be missing at this point.

With that out of the way, it's time for the more frustrating portion: earning S Rank on the levels in Survival Arena. Just keep patient and refer to the guides under our Links tab for extra support, and you should be fine.

Finally, if there are any trophies you're still missing, use the Chapter Select to mop-up anything left.
