PlayStation Plus Free Games June 2023

Sony has just announced their next batch of freebies for PlayStation Plus members, and it is quite a mix bag, from basketballs to dinosaurs. So, without further ado, here is the line-up of PlayStation Plus free games June 2023 which will be available for download on Tuesday, June 6.

First, for all those dino-fans, there is Jurassic World Evolution 2 for both the PS4 and PS5, the sequel to the 2018 Jurassic World Evolution. In this business simulation game, build your own Jurassic World from 75 prehistoric species, help them grow and keep them happy, and handle problems such as loose dinosaurs and sabotage from rivals.

Next, for those who prefer balls over dinosaurs, there is NBA 2K23, the latest in the NBA 2K series, available for both PS4 and PS5. The game reintroduces the Jordan Challenge, as well as the chance to warp back time to various 1980s and 1990s seasons in the MyNBA career.

Lastly, also for both PS4 and PS5, thereā€™s Trek to Yomi a side-scrolling action title developed by Flying Wild Hog and released last year. Taking place during the Edo era of feudal Japan, players control Hiroki, a young swordsman on a quest for vengeance.

All three PlayStation Plus free games June 2023 titles have a platinum trophy to unlock.

Among them, the platinum for Trek to Yomi is perhaps the quickest to obtain, requiring around 15-20 hours of gameplay. The game itself is not too long, but will require 2.5 playthroughs, one of which on Ronin (hard) mode, which can be tough.

For those of you who have already platinumed the 2018 Jurassic World Evolution, then completing Jurassic World Evolution 2 should not be too much of a problem. However, it has been reported that the platinum for this sequel is a little more challenging and time consuming than the previous installment.

The difficulty in obtaining the platinum for NBA 2K23 entirely depends on your previous experience with this basketball series. However, it should be noted that the serverā€™s closure has already been announced. After December 31st, 2024, the online trophies ā€“ and therefore the platinum ā€“ will become unobtainable.

PlayStation Plus Free Games July 2020

Due to the first Tuesday of the month falling late into July, we didnā€™t hear about the next line-up of free games until today. The good news is, July 2020 marks the 10th anniversary of PlayStation Plus, first launching on the PlayStation 3. To celebrate, Sony is giving away three freebies this month, as well as a free theme, and will host a free online multiplayer weekend starting this Saturday. So, without further ado, here is the line-up for PlayStation Plus Free Games July 2020 available for download on Tuesday, July 7.

First, thereā€™s Rise of the Tomb Raider, the third-person action adventure and sequel to the 2013 reboot Tomb Raider. Laura Croft traverses the freezing environment of Siberia as she searches for the legendary city of Kitezh.

Next, thereā€™s NBA 2K20, the latest title in the popular basketball simulation series. Players can enjoy the return of the MyCareer mode and customize their own players, as well as the return of MyGM and MyLeague modes.

Finally, thereā€™s Erica, a unique FMV (full motion video) game, in which players make choices that impact the results of the story. Follow the main character Erica as she takes you down a shadowy world full of danger, murder, and cultists in this interactive thriller.

All three games in the line-up of PlayStation Plus free games July 2020 have Platinum trophies to unlock.

Erica is the quickest and easiest of the three. If you chose to follow a walkthrough, the Platinum can be earned in around 10 hours.

The Platinum for Rise of the Tomb Raider is of average difficulty, and has no missable trophies since a free roam and chapter select is available. Completionists should take note however, that the game has a whopping 59 DLC trophies for online play.

NBA 2K20 can be challenging at times, particularly for anyone new to the basketball series. More importantly however, you will be looking at hundreds and hundreds of hours for the Platinum, as you spend an incredible amount of time collecting 2,900 cards for the Ultimate Collector trophy.

NBA 2K14 PS4

NBS 2K14 is a basketball game based on the National Basketball Association, and is the fifteenth installment in the NBA 2K series. New features include the replacement of the Celeb team, Team USA, Dream Team, and the Sacramento Kings classic squad, with the EuroLeague teams, new signature skills, and a new Training Camp mode to learn the controls.

NBA 2K14 received positive reviews with an average score of 86%, praised for its presentation, new commentary, and overall improvement over previous installments, though criticized by some for minor technical issues such as being unable to save progress in some mid-games.

NBA 2K14 was first released on the PlayStation 4 in November 2013, one month after the PlayStation 3. In January 2015, the Purchasable Packs were removed, making the 13-14 and historic collections incomplete, marking the Platinum trophy Not Obtainable. Then finally on March 31, 2015, the online servers were closed, making the 9 online trophies Not Obtainable.

NOTE: The PS4 version has a different trophy list than on the PS3.

Due to the online servers closing on March 31, 2015, the online trophies ā€“ and therefore, the Platinum trophy ā€“ is now Not Obtainable. However, the game still includes 41 offline trophies that can be unlocked. So if youā€™re still interested, then read on.

If you want to get some quick trophies out of the way, then start by heading into Quick Play. Here, you can adjust the sliders in the Options menu to make things easier, such as setting the Human Shot Success to 100. The quarter length must be set to at least 6 minutes, or the trophies will not unlock. Also, you can plug in a second controller to make these trophies even easier.

These trophies are all miscellaneous, such as The Power Of Three for making 15 three-pointers, Buzzer Beater for making a game-winning shot with no time on the clock, or Circus Shot for making a shot from beyond the half-court line. There are 14 trophies you can unlock in Quick Play, so be sure to check out the NBA 2K14 trophy guide links under our Links tab for specific details.

After that, you can start on MyCareer. Choose a position you feel comfortable with, and play through to the end. There are a total of 12 trophies related to MyCareer, which you should unlock by the end. You can start simming games by the second season.

The next mode youā€™ll want to start is the MyGM, where there are a total of 12 trophies waiting to be unlocked. Some things to take note, is that youā€™ll need to be the GM for at least three seasons for the same team. Also, youā€™ll receive goals from the Owner, which can alter his trust and morale. With your answers, make sure to avoid making him angry, otherwise you could see yourself fired. These games can be simulated.

Finally, simply mop-up any remaining offline trophies you may be missing. Again, check out the NBA 2K14 trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.

Unfortunately, with the online servers shut down, this is as far as we can go.

NBA 2k14 was first released on the PlayStation 3 in October 2013, and a month later on the PlayStation 4. The Another Day Another Win trophy requires players to win 5 NBA Today match-ups, which must be played on the same day as the actual game. This means that after the NBA season finished in 2014, this trophy ā€“ and therefore, the Platinum ā€“ has become Not Obtainable.

UPDATE: The online servers shut down on March 31, 2015. This means that in addition to the Another Day Another win trophy, all 14 online trophies can no longer be unlocked.

Note: The trophies on the PS3 have a different list than those on the PS4.

As of March 31, 2015, the online servers have been shut down. This means the Platinum is now Not Obtainable. However, there are still 36 offline trophies that can be earned. So if youā€™re interested, then read on.

First, to make things easier, head into the settings and adjust the sliders to 100 and the CPU to 0. You can also change the quarter length to 6 minutes, which is the minimum amount required for a good chunk of the trophies.

If you wish, there are a number of miscellaneous trophies you can earn first in quick games. Also, it should be noted that some of these are easier to unlock with two controllers. These include getting a winning shot with no time left on the clock for the Buzzer Beater trophy, recording two double doubles for the Dub-Dub trophy, a triple double for the Trip-Dub trophy, etc. Check out the NBA 2K14 trophy guide links under our Links tab for more specific details. There are a total of 15 trophies you can unlock in the non-simulated quick games.

Next, you can start the MyCareer mode. Your ultimate goal here is to make the Hall of Fame for the Immortality trophy, though youā€™ll earn a number of other trophies along the way. Make sure your character is well upgraded before simming games.

After that, thereā€™s the Association mode, to which there are a total of 7 trophies. Two of these however, Not Your Fatherā€™s Association and Donā€™t Hate The Player, can no longer be unlocked since they are online. The other five, however, and offline and therefore still obtainable. When going for the Ticker Tape trophy which requires winning an NBA Championship in this mode, we recommend changing the play-off games to 1, and number of games to 14 to make things quicker. You can also set the quarters to only one minute, and adjust the sliders to make things easier.

Lastly, there are two trophies related to the LeBron Path to Greatness, which follows LeBron as he works his way to achieving his seven championships. Aside from simply completing it to get the Greatness Achieved trophy, youā€™ll also want to get 99 stars for the 99 Stars 1 LeBron trophy, which requires getting at least 750 points for each challenge. This can be quite tough, so if youā€™re having trouble, check out some of the guides under our Links tab.

Unfortunately, with the online servers closed, this is as far as we can go.

NBA 2K12

NBA 2K12 is a basketball game based on the National Basketball Association, and is the thirteenth installment in the NBA 2K series, the first to include built-in 3D support, and the first to use motion controls using the PlayStation Move. Another new feature includes NBA's Greatest mode, in which players can match iconic players throughout NBA history.

NBA 2K12 received positive reviews, with an average score of 91%, praised for its realistic animations, realistic commentary, presentation, and overall fun.

The game was first released in October 2011, and included 8 online trophies. Unfortunately, the online servers were closed in November 2012, which means those 8 trophies can no longer be unlocked. Therefore, the Platinum for this game is now Not Obtainable.

The online servers for NBA 2K12 were closed in November 2012, which means 8 online trophies and therefore, the Platinum, are Not Obtainable. However, there are still 41 offline trophies that can be achieved, so if you're interested, then read on.

From the start, you can create your own My2K account, which will unlock the A 2K To Call My Own trophy.

When going for the non-simulated trophies, remember you can adjust the sliders to increase your players to 100 and the CPU stats to 0. It's best to check out the NBA 2K12 trophy guide links under our Links tab to see which settings are easiest for whichever trophy you're going for. Also, you should play at least one game and score 48 points with Kevin Durant with Oklahoma City Thunder for the G Performance trophy.

Once you've done those, you can play through the 15 memorable games. Win each one, and you will unlock Made My Name, Left My Mark, and the Wrote My Legend trophies. These can be done by playing only one minute quarters, which you can adjust under Gameplay in Quarter Length.

Next, there's The Association mode. Simply set the season to 58 games, with minutes set to 1, and each series to best of one. With these settings, you can unlock Streaking, Home Court, and Ticker Tape trophies quickly.

Then, there's the 11 My Player trophies. This is where the difficulty and time consumption comes in, as you'll need to play on Pro Difficulty without being able to customize the sliders. You will need to fulfill 10 of the 15 career goals, after which you can retire and earn the Immortality trophy. Also, you'll want to avoid simulating the games for the first few seasons in order to get the 10 million a year contract to unlock the I'm Worth It trophy.

Once you've completed the My Player trophies, then it's simply a matter of mopping-up any offline trophies you're still missing. Unfortunately, with the servers down, this is where we'll need to end things.
