PlayStation Plus Free Games April 2023

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! And to celebrate this Irish holiday, Sony is releasing a new set of freebies for PlayStation Plus members which have nothing to do with Ireland or St. Patrick. But hey, free games are free games, right? And so, here is the next line-up of PlayStation Plus free games April 2023 available for download on Tuesday, April 4.

First, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Sackboy: A Big Adventure, the platformer developed by Sumo Digital, and a spinoff from the LittleBigPlanet series. Take control of Sackboy as he ventures through Craftworld on an adventure to stop the evil Vex from enslaving the Sackpeople. Unlike the 2.5D style of the LittleBigPlanet titles, Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a 3D platformer with plenty of abilities, moves, and even combos that Sackboy can perform.

Next, also for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Meet Your Maker, a new title by Behavior Interactive being first released as a PlayStation Plus free game. In this first-person shooter, enter a post-apocalyptic world where players must work together to construct an outpost while invading outposts of the other players.

Lastly, also for both PS4 and PS5, there’s Tails of Iron developed by Odd Bug Studio. Players control a rat named Redgi who must save the kingdom from evil frogs in this side-scrolling RPG featuring storybook-like graphics.

All three titles in the PlayStation Plus free games April 2023 line-up have platinum trophies.

Among these, Tails of Iron is arguably the easiest platinum of the three, and only requires around 10-15 hours of gameplay.

The platinum for Meet Your Maker is of average difficulty, though will take around 50-60 hours of gameplay, due to fair amount of required grinding.

Obtaining the platinum for Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a little above average difficulty due to some tricky trophies, though requires only around 25-30 hours of gameplay, depending on your skills.

PlayStation Plus Free Games March 2023

Happy Valentine’s Day! And to celebrate the romance in the air, Sony is releasing three very romantic games for their next batch of freebies. And by very romantic, we mean not at all. But still worth checking out! And so, here is the next line-up of PlayStation Plus free games March 2023 available for download on Tuesday, March 7.

First, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Battlefield 2042, last year’s title in the Battlefield series. As the twelfth main installment, Battlefield 2042 differs from previous titles in that the game is solely multiplayer. Use an arsenal of futuristic weapons as you take down enemies in first-person shooting combat with three main gameplay modes.

Also, for the PS4, there’s Minecraft Dungeons. This spin-off from the Minecraft game was released in 2020. The game is a dungeon crawler with point-and-click hack and slash action which can be played solo or with a friend.

Lastly, for the PS4, there’s Code Vein, the 2019 action-RPG developed by Bandai Namco Studios. Inspired by such titles as Dark Souls and God Eater 3, the game is set in a post-apocalyptic dystopian open-world, where human corpses are brought back to life to fight emerging monsters.

All three titles in the PlayStation Plus free games March 2023 line-up have Platinum trophies to unlock.

Among them, Minecraft Dungeons is by far the easiest Platinum. Not a particularly difficult game, the Platinum will take between 15-20 hours depending on whether you play co-op or take your time in solo.

Code Vein is also not a particularly difficult Platinum. However, due to obtaining the required multiple endings, as well as a there being a trophy which requires grinding, expect around 75 hours of gameplay for this one.

Lastly, as you might expect from a multiplayer first-person shooter, the Platinum trophy for Battlefield 2042 is not an easy one to acquire, and will take well over 100 hours of gameplay. Players have also reported that some modes are void of players, which makes unlocking trophies all the more difficult.

Among these three Platinums, the easiest to acquire would be for Mafia: Definitive Edition. The Platinum for this title is of average difficulty, and only requires around 20 hours of gameplay.

Unlocking the Platinum for Evil Dead: The Game is not exactly difficult in itself, though it will require many hours of gameplay – well over 100 hours.

Lastly, the Platinum for OlliOlli World can be quite challenging, especially for those new to the OlliOlli franchise. The Platinum can take around 35 hours, though this is heavily skill-dependent.
