Quantum Theory

Quantum Theory is a third-person shooter with a cover system, taking place in a post-apocalyptic future. Players attack by either firing their weapon from the hip, aiming with the weapon sight for precision, or blindfire from cover, in an environment that can change dramatically.

Syd is on a mission to penetrate and destroy the "living tower" which houses a poisonous growth called the erosion. While inside, he meets Filena, a woman who is attempting to save the living tower from the erosion. The two team up and attempt to fulfill their missions together.

Quantum Theory received mainly negative reviews, with an average score of 41%, criticized for its level design, terrible graphics and presentation, and accused of being a poor rip-off of Gears of War.

Completing the game on Hard mode is no walk in the park. But what really brings this game's difficulty up to 3-stars are the online trophies, many of which require a party of 8 to complete. Upon the game's first release, the online community has been rather slow. Now, given the game's age, it will be extremely difficulty to unlock the online trophies without finding 7 other people to boost with.

Expect well over 50 hours for the offline trophies. The online will depend on your luck at finding people to play with, as well as complete the necessary objectives.

Your first mission will be to play through the story on Easy, using only the starting default weapon, the Revenant, in order to unlock the Trusty Sidearm trophy. Also, during the final batting in The Womb, try not to let any teammates die in order to unlock the What A Pal trophy. And, try to kill all the enemies in Trachea without dying, for the 8 Seconds With Style trophy. Both of these are done easier in Easy mode. Finally, seek out the destroy each of the 50 Watchers throughout the game, in order to unlock the Leave Me Alone! trophy. Check out the collectible guide under our Links tab to help you out with this.

Next, is completing Hard mode. The good news is, you don't have to replay the entire game on Hard. On chapters 2, 6, 9, 0-2, 12, and 13, you can simply play the game on Easy up until the final checkpoint. Then quit the game, select continue, and switch to Hard difficulty.

Also, there are a number of trophies related to defeating the bosses on Hard mode within a certain time limit. Check out the Quantum Theory trophy guide links under our Links tab for tips and strategies for each.

Finally, use the chapter select on Easy to simply mop-up any other offline trophies you're still missing.

Last, are the 14 online trophies. These are difficult to do on your own, as there are so few players online, and a number of the trophies require a party of 8. Also, you'll need to continue playing in order to accumulate 1 million XP to achieve the Immortal trophy. Our recommendation is to visit the boosting forums under our Links tab, as well as send friend requests to anyone you happen to meet online, and try to organize a designated time to boost for those 8-player related trophies.
