Quest of Dungeons

Quest of Dungeons is an isometric dungeons crawler which uses 16-bit graphics to create a retro-gaming feel. Players control one of four different character classes: Warrior, Assassin, Wizard, or Shaman, and progresses down through levels which are randomly generated with traps, treasure, and monsters. The game also uses a permanent death system, in which players will restart from the beginning if their character dies.

An Evil Dark Lord has stolen the light from the world and trapped it inside a magical lantern. One by one, the four heroes must venture into the Evil Dark Lord's Mansion to free the light and save the world.

Quest of Dungeons received positive reviews with an average score of 76%, praised for its retro-feel, replayability, and overall fun, though criticized by some for its lack in variety of character classes and generic gameplay.

The game is fairly average in terms of challenge, but the rating is bumped up to a 3-star for the time and grinding required for the Platinum trophy. You'll need a minimum of 5 full playthroughs, though most likely 6 or even seven.

Expect roughly 55-65 hours of gameplay for the Platinum, depending on the number of playthroughs you do.

We recommend starting off by playing the game on Easy, with whichever character class you feel comfortable with. While you can unlock a few miscellaneous trophies along the way if you wish, we recommend simply beating it in order to get a feel for the game. However, you may want to pick up one of the missable trophies - Listen Closely - at the end, by listening to everyone talk around the campfire after defeating the final boss. Make sure to hear all the dialogues and wait for the trophy to unlock before returning to the main menu.

Next, start up your second playthrough on Hell difficulty for the Is This Hell? trophy. Use a different character than the one you previously had, in order to unlock that character's trophy. We personally found the Assassin the best choice on the Hell difficulty, due to his long range attacks, though it's up to you. Also, since the difficulty-related trophies stack, you will also unlock the Some Challenge and How Hard Can It Be trophies.

Next, create a custom map on Hard difficulty with 10 floors for The Architect trophy. If you wish to save yourself a future playthrough, then play this game with a new character. Otherwise, use whoever you feel comfortable with.

After that, it's time to mop-up whatever is remaining on Easy mode. This will probably include the Fly You Fool trophy for beating the game in 30 minutes, or any other character playthroughs you're missing.
