[PROTOTYPE2]

Prototype 2 is a third-person open-world action-adventure, and a sequel to the 2009 title Prototype. Players control James Heller, who has the ability to shapeshift into other people's identity while also consuming their memories, as well as various other battle-related powers.

Two years have passed since the events of the prequel, when U.S. Marine Sergeant James Heller becomes infected with the superhuman strain. He searches out for Mercer, and to avenge the death of his wife and daughter.

Prototype 2 received generally positive reviews, with an average score of 79%, considered a superior game over its prequel, and overall generally fun.

This is, in fact, a very low 2-star rating, as the game is far easier and less time consuming than its prequel. Two playthroughs are recommended, one on easy, the second on New Game+ on Hard, which isn't very challenging considering your powers will be maxed out by then. A free roam allows to mop-up any trophies you're missing.

With two playthroughs, expect roughly around 20 hours to complete.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS3.

Beating the game on Hard with all your powers maxed out should only take a few hours. For this reason, we recommend starting a game on Easy difficulty. There are no missable trophies, so just play through to the end, completing side missions, and enjoying the game.

Once finished, you'll enter a free roam, in which you have a chance to mop-up any trophies you're still missing. If, by this point, you still don't have enough upgrades for the Finally Full trophy, don't worry. There's still one more playthrough to do.

Last, load up a New Game+ on Hard difficulty and play through to the end. This is your chance to unlock the Finally Full trophy if you haven't already done so, as well as All Growed Up for fully upgrading Heller, and of course Master Prototype for completing the game on Hard. With the exception of the final boss, your playthrough on Hard should be fairly easy with your maxed powers.

PROTOTYPE

[Prototype] is a third-person action game, much in the tradition of Infamous, with a comic book like feeling.

The Blacklight plague is spreading through Manhattan, mutating people into vile creatures which desire nothing else but to kill those uninfected. Blackwatch, a black ops organization, has been sent into contain the infection.

You play as Alex Mercer, a shapeshifter suffering from amnesia. Alex has the power to "absorb" other people, acquiring their likeness and even memories. You must follow the clues to the virus' origin, avoid getting shot at by Blackwatch soldiers, and save Manhattan from the infestation.

The game has received fairly positive reviews by most online gaming websites, ranging average scores of 82% for its interesting story and character, imaginative abilities to play with, but mediocre scenery and sensitive controls.

This game can either be difficult and rather time consuming, or time consuming and sort of difficult, depending on how you play. You will need to playthrough at least twice - once on Medium in order to unlock Hard, then again on Hard. It's up to you whether or not you also try to acquire the Hard To Kill trophy - which requires you to playthough without dying - while collecting other trophies on Medium. It could save you a third playthrough, but would be very difficult.

Overall, this Platinum is certainly doable, but will take up a fair amount of time, patience, and skill.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 share a separate list from those on the PS3.

As we mentioned earlier, you can either take things slow and easy by starting on Easy mode, or go straight into Medium - which is necessary to unlock Hard mode. Either way, you want to make your way through the story, unlocking Nice Guy, Half-Truths, Mankind Is Your Mask, Hard To Kill, and the Return Fire trophies along the way.

Once the story is complete, the city is open for you to roam around, and mop up any missing trophies.

By now, you should have all of them, except for Revenge Revisited, which requires you to start a new game, and select Hard mode. Once you get through, the trophy - and Platinum - will unlock.
