Squareboy vs Bullies: Arena Edition

Squareboy vs Bullies: Arena Edition is a side-scrolling beat ‘em up, similar in style to the classic Double Dragon series. Players use a basic jump and attack, and can utilize a set of combos to fight enemies, as well as use weapons and objects found in the environment. The game includes both a Story mode, as well as an Arena where players make their way through a collection of survival stages. The game also allows for both single player and two-player co-op.

Squareboy is tired of being bullied, and so seeks out a martial arts master for training. With his new skills, Squareboy decides to teach the bullies a lesson.

Squareboy vs Bullies: Arena Edition received lukewarm reviews with an average score of 52%, praised for its humor and overall retro fun, though criticized for its short length and over-simplicity.

The game is a simple button-masher beat ‘em up with a few combos, and not particularly difficult. Half of the trophies are story-related, while the other half can be naturally unlocked for performing certain combos or attacking with environmental items, which means the Platinum can easily be earned in one playthrough. There is also a level select in case anything happened to be missed.

Expect around 2-3 hours of gameplay for the Platinum.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS Vita.

If you wish to unlock all the trophies in one playthrough, we recommend checking out some of the Squareboy vs Bullies trophy guide links under our Links tab, just to get familiar with what you need to do.

As you play through the game, try to perform each combo to be sure to unlock their corresponding trophies. Also, be sure to use each of the found weapons at least once, which include the baseball bat, chain, tire, box, trash can, and crate, to get their corresponding trophy.

For the Weapons Master trophy, you’ll need to grab the baseball bat and move around until there is an enemy closely in front and behind you, then swing the bat to strike both enemies and unlock the trophy.

For the Gotcha Slippery Ninja, be sure to grab the crate during this boss battle in Level 10, and throw it at the ninja to unlock the trophy.

As long as you have done all this, you should have the Platinum by the end of your playthrough. If not, there is a level select in case you need to mop up anything.
