Thor: God of Thunder

Thor: God of Thunder is an action game based on the 2011 film Thor, which in turn is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Thor battles numerous enemies including Ulik, Ymir and Surtur, while fighting through several different worlds using his hammer, as well as elemental powers. The game features the voice talents of Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, and Jaimie Alexander, reprising their roles from the film.

After an invasion by the frost giants in Asgard, Thor is assisted by Loki as he travels to various realms in search of methods for protecting Asgard from future threats. But his journey may lead him to answers he never predicted.

Thor: God of Thunder received fairly negative reviews, with an average score of 25%, mainly criticized for its glitches as well as some clunky controls.

This is actually a high 2-star rating, due to a combination of frustration and clunky controls. The Platinum requires two playthroughs, one on Valhallan (Very Hard) mode, where some of the boss battles will require a whole lot of patience. Also, there are no chapter selects, which means a large number of missable trophies which, if not unlocked, will require more playthroughs.

Expect roughly 20 hours on this one, possibly more if you missed some of the trophies and need a third or even fourth playthrough.

At minimum, this game will require two playthroughs. Also take note, that there is no chapter select. So it's recommended you acquire as many of the missable trophies as you can during your first playthrough, leaving only what's necessary for the second in case you accidentally miss anything.

For your first playthrough, we recommend playing on Skraeling (Easy) mode. There are a number of collectibles to gather, many of which you can find now, though a few you can only acquire on the harder modes. Follow one of the collectible guides under our Links tab for this. Also, there are a vast assortment of feats which you'll need to perform in their respective realms for the Feat Fetish trophy. Finally, there are a number of various trophies which can only be done at certain moments in the game. Check out the Thor God of Thunder trophy guide links under our Links tab and try to unlock as many of these as you can.

Hopefully after your first playthrough, you should have a good chunk of the trophies. Now comes the frustrating part: your second New Game+ playthrough, this time on Valhallan (Very Hard) mode. For the most part, the game isn't too bad and the upgrades from your previous game will definitely help. Some of those boss battles will certainly test your patience, however. Here, you'll want to find the remaining collectibles, as well as try to knock out any last feats you haven't yet completed, and unlock any other missable trophies that you still need.

After that, hopefully you'll have the Platinum by now. If not, start another new game on which ever difficulty mode you need to mop up the last remaining trophies.
