Sound Shapes Trophy Guide

Sound Shapes is a side-scrolling platformer in which the player's actions can influence the game's music, while hazards are easier to avoid by listening to their rhythm. The game includes three modes. In the Campaign, players reach their goal while nabbing collectibles by jumping and sticking to walls and ceilings, avoiding hazards and enemies. In Beat School, players attempt to select the correct notes in a song. Death Mode is a more challenging version of the Campaign.

Sound Shapes received positive reviews, with an average score of 86%, praised for its atmosphere, originality, and overall challenge and fun.

Sound Shapes has an odd assortment of trophies, as half of them are extremely easy, and the other half are incredibly frustrating. If you're only interested in collecting as many trophies as possible, then this is the game for you, since 55% of the trophies can be unlocked with hardly any effort, if you're following a guide. However, the remaining 40% for completing Death Mode levels will have you flinging your controller across the room in a rage. But, with persistence, luck, and a whole lot of patience, any average player can obtain the platinum.

On average, you can expect 10-12 hours of gameplay, though it really depends on your skills and luck.

NOTE: The Trophies on the PS4 have a separate list than those on the PS3.

Your first step is to complete the Campaign. There are 5 albums in total, including the tutorials. There are collectibles in the game, but are not necessary for the platinum. Once you have completed the Campaign, you will have unlocked not only the Campaign Complete trophy, but the other modes as well.

Next, is Beat School. Here, you are listening to a song and attempting to match the correct beats by selecting the appropriate squares. Feel free to try this on your own, but if you're in a rush for that platinum, you can simply check out the completed patterns on the trophy guides in our Links page, then copy them into the game. If you're following the guides, then unlocking all 12 Beat School trophies should only take you roughly 15 minutes.

Finally, there's the Death Mode. Here is where the game will test your patience. To access Death Mode, go into the Campaign and hit the L1. The record player should flip, displaying a red skull in the center. There are 20 Death Mode trophies in total, one for each level. While many of these may seem impossible at first, just keep at it and with luck and improved skill, you'll eventually clear each level.
