Sonic Unleashed

Sonic Unleashed is a platformer which combines behind-the-back third-person with 2D side-scrolling, and is part of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Gameplay switches between fast-paced levels during daytime, and slower action-based during night-time where Sonic transforms into a Werehog. the setting takes place on different continents inspired by real-world locations.

Doctor Eggman has drained the power of the Chaos Emeralds in order to unleash a powerful creature known as Dark Gaia. The side effects of the drained Emeralds has caused Sonic to transform into a Werehog each night. Sonic must find a way to stop Doctor Eggman and the Dark Gaia, and restore the power of the Chaos Emeralds.

Sonic Unleashed received mixed reviews with an average score of 58%, praised for its beautiful graphics and environments, though criticized for the Werehog concept and night-time segments for slowing down the gameplay with too much combat.

This is a high 3-star rating, due to the difficulty in some of the challenges required, as well as a few time-consuming trophies. While a good chunk of the trophies shouldn't pose too much difficulty for average players, clearing all the Hot Dog missions will truly test your gaming skills, and requires much trial and error for completion. A few other trophies, such as for talking with all the townspeople or collecting all 400 medals, will add time to your gaming.

Expect roughly 40-50 hours of gameplay, though it heavily depends on your skills.

Start by simply playing through the Story mode. There are no missable trophies to worry about, so if you like, you can just enjoy the game from start to finish. If you want to make things easier for future play, try to upgrade your abilities as much as you can. Also, if you want to avoid more grinding later on, you can try to get all the medals as well.

Once that's finished, and if you haven't already, it's time to fully upgrade all your abilities. Make sure this is done before moving onto the Hot Dog missions.

Okay, time to turn to the Hot Dog missions, where you must complete all of them in each location. This is what generally makes or breaks getting the Platinum for most players, as they are very difficult and even frustrating. Remain patient and keep trying. Through trial and error, you'll eventually clear them. Be sure to check out the Sonic Unleashed trophy guide links for tips on how to beat these, under our Links tab.

If you managed to complete them, then congratulations! It's all downhill from here. Finally, just mop-up the remaining trophies you still may be missing. This may include collecting all the Medals, all the food, souvenirs, and a few others if you haven't done so already. Again, check out the Sonic Unleashed trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you're missing and their requirements.

Good luck!

Fight Night Champion Trophy Guide

Fight Night Champion Trophy Guide. Difficulty: n/o  A third-person boxing game and the fifth title in the Fight Night series. While the servers are still open, three online trophies cannot be unlocked due to the gym rival system no longer resetting.

Fight Night Champion

Fight Night Champion is a third-person boxing game, and the fifth in the Fight Night series which began on the PS2 and Xbox. Compared to its predecessors, Fight Night Champion adds a darker and grittier tone which illustrates the real brutality of boxing. The game contains 51 boxers to select from through 8 weight divisions, playable in 21 venues.

The game includes three main modes: Fight Now allows to immediately jump into a boxing match, Legacy Mode enables players to take a boxer through a career, and Champion Mode includes a story of Andre Bishop who is forced through various obstacles in his career. The game also includes an online mode.

Fight Night Champion received positive reviews, with an average score of 84%, praised for its realistic graphics and presentation that shows the true violence of boxing.

While the online servers are still up, there is an aspect to the multiplayer in which you challenge another player who belongs to a rival gym. The gym selected as your rival is automatic, and would reset every two weeks. However, that reset has suddenly, and strangely, changed to 16 years.

It is unclear whether this is intentional or a glitch, but has continued since early 2013, and EA shows no interest in correcting the issue. As a result, the trophies Represent The Crew I, Represent The Crew II, and Represent The Crew III cannot be unlocked, marking the Platinum for this game Not Obtainable.

Due to an issue with the Rival Gym challenges, this Platinum is now Not Obtainable. However, there are still 33 trophies available to unlock, both offline and online. So if you're interested, read on.

We recommend beginning by going through Champion Mode, which is the story aspect of the game. This will not only net you several trophies along the way, but unlock all the boxers in the Play Now mode.

Next, you can begin on Legacy Mode, in which you'll select a boxer and start working through his career. In total, this will take a little over fifty fights to reach the end, as you unlock trophies during the career.

At this point, you can either mop-up any offline trophies you're still missing, or head into an Online Gym. As we stated, the three Represent The Crew trophies for competing against rival gyms can no longer be unlocked. Yet you can still collect the three A Fight Amongst Friends trophies, as well as the other online trophies.

Ski-Doo Snowmobile Challenge Trophy Guide

Ski-Doo Snowmobile Challenge Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A snowmobile racing game with stunt performances across 20 different tracks and locations. While not a particularly long game, working towards the Platinum can be challenging and even frustrating at times.

Ski-Doo Snowmobile Challenge *** 26 Coldwood Interactive Sweden 12 6 7 2 0

Ski-Doo Snowmobile Challenge

Ski-Doo Snowmobile Challenge is a snowmobile game in which players race to the finish line over snow cross races while performing stunts in either Snow Cross, Cross Country, Hill-Climb, and Stunt event types across 20 different tracks and locations in four different countries. The game includes 20 officially licensed Ski-Doo Snowmobiles, two-player split-screen, and online multiplayer with up to 12 players.

Ski-Doo Snowmobile Challenge received lukewarm reviews with an average score of 56%, praised for its gameplay and racing mechanics, but criticized by some for its mediocre graphics, long loading time, and for being a rather short game.

Ski-Doo Snowmobile Challenge is not particularly long, but can be quite challenging and even frustrating at times. Some of the later races in particular require a nearly perfect race in order to win, which will result in a lot of repeated tries. But the main reason for the 3-star difficulty is the online trophies which, given the age of the game, is quite hard to find anyone and fulfill their requirements legitimately. However, if you have a boosting partner, the difficulty rating could be brought down to a 2-star.

The Platinum technically only requires about 15 hours of gameplay, though it depends heavily on your skills, as well as your ability to find anyone online to play with.

You can begin things by playing on Career mode. Coming in first place will unlock things such as new tracks and snowmobiles, so be sure to keep racing until you come in first, before moving onto the next race. Unlocking all the unlockables will earn you both the Hoarder and Pack Rat trophies. Also, try not to spend any money until you've collected $50,000 and unlocked the Stingy trophy. During your playthrough, at some point work on unlocking the Untouchable trophy for winning a race without crashing. Also, if you want, you can spend time nabbing the Woodcutter trophy for colliding into three trees in one race, and Crowdsurfing for colliding into the spectators.

Next, is basically just mopping-up the remaining trophies offline. There are a few which are easier to perform in two-player co-op if you have a second controller, such as Roadrunner for leading the race from start to finish, both the Adrenaline Junkie and Boostaholic trophies for remaining in adrenaline mode for a total of 60 seconds, and the Bully, Berzerk, and Rampage trophies for taking down a total of four opponents in a row without crashing. Be sure to check out the Ski-Doo Snowmobile Challenge trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you need and their requirements.

There are two online trophies which can be unlocked at anytime: Friendly for sending an invite, and Online Acrobat for achieving 20,000 stunt points in one online race. Given both the age and unpopularity of this game, you might have some trouble finding players. If so, be sure to check out the boosting forums under our Links tab.

Shaun White Snowboarding Trophy Guide

Shaun White Snowboarding Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A snowboarding game across six different mountains in a variety of events. Though the game possesses a steep learning curve, the trophies are doable with some time and skill.

Shaun White Snowboarding

Shaun White Snowboarding is a snowboarding sports game in which players race and perform stunts down six different mountains, competing against NPCs and eventually a digital rendering of American professional snowboarder and skateboarder Shaun White.

Players compete in a variety of events, including Jibbing, Air Tricking, Slopestyle, Boardercross, and Halfpipe, earning both money and respect which allows them to upgrade their player-character. An online multiplayer mode is also included.

Shaun White Snowboarding's PS3 version received lukewarm reviews, with an average score of 64%, praised for its overall fun, but criticized for its lack of presentation and ho-hum graphics.

For more information, check out our Shaun White Snowboarding Review.

It should be noted that Ubisoft announced the closure of their online servers on August 8 2014. As of the time adding this title to our game database, the servers still remain active, on borrowed time. The game has 7 online trophies, which will become unobtainable if/when the servers finally do go offline.

Aside from that, the most difficult challenge will be learning the controls. Once you've mastered the learning curve, many of the trophies can be rather easy to collect, if not simply time-consuming, with the Platinum earned in around 20-30 hours.

As we mentioned earlier, at the time of uploading this game to our database, the online servers are on borrowed time, and could be cut at any time. As a result, we recommend getting those 7 online trophies out of the way as soon as you can. Unfortunately, you'll need to unlock some challenges before you can play them online. This means, doing so should be a priority.

First start by exploring the areas and collecting tokens for each map, while getting used to the controls. The learning curve can be steep for some people, but once you've gotten the hang of it, you shouldn't have too much problem.

Once you're confident enough, go ahead and start working through the challenges and missions. After you've gotten through and everything's unlocked, don't worry about mopping-up just yet. Head online and start working on those 7 online trophies. Many of them don't require you to win, simply play different challenges on different mountains. But the Mecha Shredzilla trophy requires a total of 1 million respect points, and will take some grinding if you didn't achieve it while unlocking the others.

After all that's done, you can go ahead and start mopping up any remaining offline trophies you're still missing.

Yakuza 4 Trophy Guide

Yakuza 4 Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A third-person action title in an open-world and a direct sequel to the 2009 Yakuza 3. While three full playthroughs are required, the lack of a mini-game completion trophy marks this Platinum as slightly easier than its predecessor.

Yakuza 4

Yakuza 4, known in Japan as Ryu ga Gotoku 4: Densetsu o Tsugumono (Like a Dragon 4: Successor of the Legend) is a third-person open-world action game, similar in style to the Grand Theft Auto or Saints Row series, and is a direct sequel to the 2009 title Yakuza 3. Like other games in the series, Yakuza 4 takes place mainly in the fictional district of Tokyo named Kamurocho, based on the real location Kabukicho. Aside from the main storyline, players switch between different characters to perform unique side-quests and goals. The game also includes several mini-games, including pachinko, karaoke, mahjong, table tennis, hanafuda, as well as fishing and visiting hot springs.

Taing place one year following the events of Yakuza 3, a man is found dead within the Tojo Clan's territory. After a small group from the Tojo Clan attempt to investigate, their leader is found stabbed to death. These events start a chain reaction that will see four men compete in a heated battle for power, status, and honor.

Yakuza 4 received high praise in Japan and fairly positive reviews overseas, with an average score of 84% worldwide. The game was praised for its plentiful amount of activities, and its graphics, though criticized by some Western critics for its repetitive battles and the presentation's lack of updates.

Since there is no mini-game completion trophy, Yakuza 4 is certainly easier than its predecessor, Yakuza 3. Also, some of the boss battles and Ultimate Challenges aren't as tough, either. Players who have completed the previous game will probably find Yakuza 4 a walk in the park, in comparison. However, there is still a lot to do, as well as some trophies that require both skill and luck, which warrants the game a low 3-star rating. Also, three full playthroughs are required.

Expect roughly 70-90 hours of gameplay for the Platinum, and perhaps more if you need to learn the rules of some mini-games, such as Mahjong or Pachinko.

You'll need to play through the game three times on your route to the platinum. One time on Normal in order to unlock the Indomitable trophy, another playthrough on Hard in order to unlock the Ex-Hard mode, and then again on Ex-Hard to unlock the Heir To The Legend trophy. Though its up to you which mode to begin on, we recommend - particularly if this is your first time playing a game in the Yakuza series - beginning with your Normal run.

There are only two missable trophies. Indomitable requires you to play a full game on Normal without reverting to Easy. (This trophy cannot be unlocked on Hard mode) While playing on Normal, if you fail or die several times, you'll be given the option to switch to Easy mode. Do NOT revert the game, and you should unlock Indomitable at the end of your Normal playthrough.

The other is the Fashionista trophy, which requires you to purchase one of each outfit type for the hostess. This cannot be done once the hostess has reached the No. 1 rank, so just make sure to unlock this trophy before that happens.

Otherwise, after completing each playthrough, you will enter a free-roam stage where you can mop-up all the other trophies. We recommend doing this all one one playthrough, leaving your second and third playthrough to simply focus on completing the story. Be sure to check out the Yakuza 4 trophy guide links under our Links tab to see which trophies you still need and what the requirements are.
