Rocket League Update 1.31 adds Dropshot, Competitive Season 4, and Trophies

Just when you thought Rocket League couldn’t possible get any bigger, Psyonix is releasing Update 1.31 today at 3pm PT/6pm ET for the PlayStation 4, as well as the Xbox One and PC. The Rocket League Update 1.31, which comes at a size of 1.4 GB, will add a new Dropshot mode, Season 4 of Competitive play, 6 new trophies to unlock, and more.

Rocket League Update 1.31

The Rocket League Update 1.31 includes:

* Dropshot
A new game mode where players break the floor with the ball on the opponent’s side, before hitting the ball through the hole.

* Season 4 Competitive Play
A new set of Skill Rankings, divided into Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Champion, and Grand Champion. After placement matches, players will be assigned a skill rating influenced by their Season 3 ranking.

* Easter 2017
Seasonal Easter Items are available to unlock, from March 22 to April 17. This includes an Easter Egg Antenna, a Bunny Ears Hat, and an Easter Basket Hat.

* Other
New Tokyo was removed from Casual and Competitive playlists, but still available in offline and private matches. New Tokyo will return to online play with a standard layout in a future update.
Mannfield (Night) is now available in all playlists.
Spell (Sando Remix) by Hollywood Principle was added to the soundtrack.
AquaDome experienced some performance optimization.
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can now bind Air Roll Left and Air Roll Right from the Controls menu.

In addition, the Rocket League Update 1.31 also adds the following 6 Trophies, which can be unlocked in roughly 20 minutes:

Registered Voter (bronze) – Head to ‘Arena Preferences’ and use all of your votes
Metaverse (bronze) – Equip the Halo Topper and win a match on Starbase ARC
Brave the Elements (bronze) – Complete a match on wasted land, under the sea, and in outer space
Damage Control (silver) – Win a Dropshot match via shutout
Full Course (silver) – Score a total of 18 Goals in Dropshot
Buckminister x10 (gold) – Damage a total of 320 panels in Dropshot

Rocket League is a vehicular soccer game released on the PlayStation 4 in July 2015, and now has a grand total of 76 trophies with the Update 1.31.
