Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is a third-person action adventure, based on the 2009 film of the same name, which in turn is based on the novel of the same name by J.K. Rowling. It is the second Harry Potter title on the PlayStation 3, but the first to have trophy support. Some of the lead actors from the film lend their voices for their respected characters in the game, such as Rupert Grint and Tom Felton.

The final battle between Harry Potter and Voldemort lies on the horizon, and so Dumbledore begins to prepare Harry for this inevitable fight as they work together in search of kinks to Tom Riddle's armor by looking for Horace Slughorn, who they believe holds the key to defeating Voldemort. During which, while also attending classes, Harry takes part in Quidditch matches, Wizard Duels, and making potions, depending on the day in which the game is divided.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince received lukewarm reviews, with an average score of 69%, praised for its overall presentation and fun, but criticized for occasional tiresome mini-games.

The main adventure portion of this game is not particularly long, and ends in a free roaming which allows you to collect all the remaining trophies. Most of your time will be spent searching for collectibles in the form of crests - 150 of them. Also, the flying challenges can be tricky at times, due to challenging requirements and sometimes poor camera controls.

Otherwise, the Platinum is not particularly difficult, and shouldn't take you more than 20 hours to complete.

For the most part, you simply need to start up the game and play through the main story, going from day-to-day. When the story is completed, the last day will be endless, allowing you to roam freely and collect any trophies you may have missed.

There are 14 trophies related to collecting crests, which are scattered throughout Hogwarts and other areas, making a total of 150 to find. We have collectible guides in our Links page to help you with this. However, considering there are so many of them, it is highly recommended that you keep track of which crests you've found, either by writing down their locations for printing out the guide and using it as a checklist. Otherwise, you may spend hours running around looking for crests you have already found.

The remaining trophies are challenge-related. Check out the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince trophy guide links under our Links tab for specific details to anything you're missing after completing the main adventure.
