Vanquish
Vanquish is a third-person shooter, with bullet hell elements, requiring constant quick reactions from the player. Players control a DARPA agent wearing an Augmented Reaction Suit, which allows the ability to enter AR mode, slowing time and allowing the player to target enemies.
In the near future, when Earth's growing population has caused the world resources to become scarce, the American government launches a space station in order to gather solar energy. However, the Russian government is overthrown by ultra-nationalist forces named the Order of the Russian Star, and have seized the space station. Sam Gideon, a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agent, is equipped with an Augmented Reaction Suit and sent in to take back the space station.
Vanquish received positive reviews, with an average score of 83%, praised for its visuals, fast pace action, and overall gameplay, though criticized by some for its short length and dialogue.
While not a particularly long game, Vanquish requires some serious skills in obtaining the Platinum. A playthrough on Hard mode is needed, with lots of collectibles to find. There's a chapter select to help mop-up any missing trophies afterwards. However, the Tactical Challenges mode is hard and frustrating, hence the 3-star rating.
Overall, expect around 15-20 hours on this one, though it really depends on your skills and ability to complete the Tactical Challenges.
Hard mode is available from the start, so if you're in a rush for that platinum, we recommend starting your playthrough there. During your run, you'll want to focus on collecting all the 112 Panglos statues. Check out the collectible guides under our Links tab for this. Also, you'll want to focus on not dying. If you die, simply return to the title screen rather than select Continue, which will void your death.
During this playthrough, avoid changing the difficulty level or using the chapter select, as this will stop you from unlocking the Survivor and ARS Operator trophies.

Last, are the Tactical Challenges. There are 6 in total (5, plus one bonus) and completing these are quite challenging, and the reason why this game received a 3-star difficulty. Check out the walkthroughs under our Links tab for help with these.
