Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters is a sports golf game and part of the Tiger Woods PGA Tour series published by EA, which began on the PlayStation One. The game features The Masters tournament at Augusta National Golf Club, as well as commentary by Jim Nantz and David Feherty.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters received mostly positive reviews, with an average score of 81%, praised for its graphics, inclusion of the Masters, and overall gameplay, though criticized for not being particularly different from its previous installment.

The game was first released in March 2011, and includes four online trophies. At the moment, the online servers are still up. However, as of June 2013, no new daily or weekly tournaments have been posted in the Live Tournament section. Playing a Live Tournament is necessary in unlocking the Online Participation trophy. Since this single trophy can no longer be acquired, the Platinum for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters has since become Not Obtainable.

The Online Participation trophy requires you to play either a daily or weekly Live Tournament. However, as of June 2013, no new Live Tournaments have been posted online, which means this trophy, and therefore the Platinum, is Not Obtainable. Yet there are still 45 other trophies which can be unlocked, so if you're interested, then read on.

Your first trophy will most likely be Who's Your Caddie for completing the opening prologue.

After that, we recommend starting with the Road to the Masters. This is the career mode in which you create a golfer, start at the bottom, and work your way to becoming the number one golfer in the PGA Tour. If you wish to make things easier, set the difficulty to Amateur and the AI Scoring to normal in the game settings. There are a number of story-related trophies which you'll unlock naturally along the way, as well as pins for the Pin Collector trophy.

Once you've played through at least once and you've gotten a good feel for the game and controls, we recommend hopping online and getting those 3 online trophies out of the way, before the servers eventually shut down. You will need to win 10 online games to further work towards the Pin Collector trophy. Also, be sure to unlock the GamerNet Tourist and Hold My Bag As I Post My Clip trophies, as well. As we mentioned earlier, the Online Participation trophy can no longer be unlocked.

With those online trophies done, you can head back into the Masters and work on unlocking the Masters Legend trophy, which requires a total of 7 tournament wins - which do not need to be consecutive. Also, at some point, be sure to get yourself a good lead after becoming #1 in order to keep your standing for 281 weeks to unlock the Broken Record trophy.

By now you should have a pretty good chunk of the trophies. You can next complete the 9 Master Moments, which will also award you with another pin.

Finally, the rest is basically mopping-up anything you still may be missing. This may include mastering any courses you haven't yet done, or any pins still missing towards unlocking the Pin Collector trophy. Be sure to check out the trophy guides in our Links page to see what you're still missing and what the requirements are.

Happy golfing!

SBK 08 Superbike World Championship

SBK 08: Superbike World Championship, as you can probably guess by the title, is a racing game and the official title for the 2008 Superbike World Championship season. The game includes 22 official riders, as well as 12 official race tracks, and features both single player and online races.

The game received lukewarm reviews, with an average score of 66%, praised for its decent CG but criticized for dumbing down the realism.

SBK 08: Superbike World Championship includes 5 online trophies. Unfortunately, the online servers to the game were closed without warning in late 2012. As a result, the 5 online trophies - and therefore the Platinum trophy - have since become Not Obtainable.

NOTE: Given that the North American version was released several months after the European version, ONLY the North American title has trophy support!

Since the servers were closed in late 2012, the game's 5 online trophies - and therefore the Platinum trophy - are not Not Obtainable. However, the game still includes 21 offline trophies, so if you're still interested, then read on.

Since you may want to get used to the controls and handling first, we recommend beginning with the track records, working your way towards the Secret! Master of Records Cup trophy by adding cards to your collection.

Next, there's the challenges - some of which can be, well, challenging. Strive to get the platinum medal to gain a card for your collection, and check out the guides under our Links page for specific tips on each trophy.

By now, you should have a pretty good handle on the controls, and it's time to enter the meat of the game: the Championships. There's a trophy for winning each championship on any difficulty. We recommend enabling "jump start" in the realism settings and disabling "real rules," which should help you out a bit.

Unfortunately, with the online servers closed, this is as far as we can go.

Rocksmith Trophy Guide

Rocksmith Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ****  A music rhythm game which uses a real guitar rather than a controller. While the Platinum can be quite challenging, this is heavily dependent on your guitaring skills.

Rocksmith

Rocksmith is a music rhythm game that uses a real electric guitar that's connected to the PlayStation 3 by a Real Tone cable, or an acoustic guitar with a pickup. Players play songs by matching the incoming notes on the screen to their playing on the guitar. A career mode, divided between guitar and bass, allows players to earn experience points, which unlocks new venues and additional features. The Technique Challenges allows players to practice specific tricks for both the guitar and bass, such as hammer-ons/pull-offs, Chords, Power Chords, and Bends. A microphone is also compatible for karaoke-style gameplay.

Rocksmith received positive reviews with an average score of 82%, praised for its use as a guitar-playing learning tool, and overall fun.

Since the game requires playing a real guitar, the difficulty of the game is heavily dependant on whether or not you have any previous guitar-playing experience. A new or even amateur guitar player will probably require quite a bit of time and effort, hence the 4-star difficulty rating. However, if you've taken guitar lessons and can play some serious songs already, than this could be brought down to a low 3-star rating, though still adding a bit of a challenge.

Expect roughly 50-60 hours for the Platinum for experienced guitar players, and far more if this is your first time.

NOTE: For the Platinum, you will need 2 Tone Cables and a USB Microphone, as well as one real Guitar.

The game has only one online trophy which you can knock out right away. In the Main Menu, access the Download Store. You don't need to buy or download anything. Simply visiting the Store will unlock the Happy Shopper trophy.

Other than that, like most music rhythm games, Rocksmith doesn't require any particular roadmap. If you are an inexperienced guitar player, it's probably a good idea to start with the Tutorial. Also, the Technique Challenges will help with both teaching and allowing practice for specific techniques, such as Bends or Hammer Ons/Pull-Offs. Also, doing the Technique Challenges allows you to unlock The Rocksmith Method and Tutorials My Axe trophies.

The Guitarcade games are also a great way to continue practicing different techniques, which you can work on at any time. In addition, there are a total of eight Guitarcade-related trophies to unlock.

Once you feel you're ready, you can start playing through the Journey, which is the career mode of the game. Playing through events will unlock all 48 guitars and 50 effects, as well as the Rocksmith trophy for reaching Rank 11, as well as a number of other trophies along the way.

You'll need to sing at least one song for the Just Singing trophy. You can use any USB mic, or even the PlayStation Eye.

Also, you will need two Tone Cables for the Beneficial Friends trophy. Simply plug both into the PlayStation 3 and select a multiplayer game. After you complete the sound check with one guitar, unplug the Tone Cable from the instrument and plug in the other for another sound check, which will then unlock the trophy.

Be sure to check out the Rocksmith trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you need and their requirements.

Unlike previous titles in the series, Unbounded takes place in a fictional city called Shatter Bay. The game focuses on running down other racers as well as crashing through walls to discover short-cuts, similar to EA's Burnout Paradise. Also includes is an online multiplayer, of which the servers were closed on February 27, 2015.

Ridge Racer Unbounded received widely mixed reviews, with an average score of 68%, praised for its graphics and presentation, but criticized for the car physics and gameplay balancing. Different online magazines either praised or criticized the game's departure from the standard franchise.

The online servers were closed on February 27, 2015, which means the 10 online trophies cannot be unlocked. However, there are still 40 offline trophies which can be collected. So if you're interested, then read on.

Unfortunately, with the online servers closed, that's as far as you can go. Still, the offline trophies here aren't easy, so feel proud you've at least completed that portion of the game.
