ModNation Racers

ModNation Racers is a kart racing game, and somewhat of a mix between Mario Kart and LittleBigPlanet. Players can create their own characters - known as Mods - as well as karts and tracks, which can be uploaded online for other players to download, use and rate. The game features a Career mode, as well as Time Attack and online racing. During racing, players can drift to increase their boost gauge, as well as collect a variety of weapons to use against other racers.

ModNation Racers received positive reviews, with an average score of 87%, praised for its racing mechanics and ability to create Mods, karts and tracks limited only by the players' imagination.

This game was originally ranked a 4-star difficulty, due to both the challenge and vast amount of time required. Unfortunately, the servers were closed on October 10, 2018. Since the game includes 17 online trophies, the Platinum has therefore become Not Obtainable.

NOTE: The 3 DLC packs, each including 7 extra trophies, have also been removed from the PlayStation Store.

Unfortunately, the online servers were shut down on October 10, 2018. As a result, the 17 online trophies - and therefore, the Platinum - has become Not Obtainable. However, there are still 30 offline trophies that can be unlocked. So if you're interested, then read on.

There are a few easy trophies you could knock out in the beginning if you wish to, though in the long run it doesn't matter. This is referring to creating your own Mod, kart and track. However, in the beginning you'll be limited by the tools and designs, which means it's not useful to upload them for sharing just yet.

Otherwise, we recommend beginning with the Career. There are 5 race series, with a total of 28 tracks. You'll need to win in the top three in order to unlock the next track. Here, just focus on completing the races with at least a bronze, and collecting the tokens, which are the tools you can use in your Mod, kart and track design.

Once that's finished, it's time to go back and replay those races. You'll need to reach first place in all of them, collect all the tokens, and fulfill the bonus requirements. This will take up a good portion of your time. You should also be unlocking a few miscellaneous trophies naturally, along the way.

After that's all done, you're almost there. Simply go for the last few remaining miscellaneous offline trophies you may still be missing at this point. Be sure to check out the ModNation Racers trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need, and their requirements.

Unfortunately, with the online servers shut down, this is as far as we can go.

Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock Trophy Guide

Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ****  A music rhythm game and the sixth in the Guitar Hero series. Like most titles in this series, this game demands some serious skills on all four instruments.

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock

Guitar Hero: Warriors of rock is a music rhythm game, and the sixth in the Guitar Hero series. The game allows up to four players to play as either a vocalist, bass, rhythm, or drum player, using instrument controllers to simulate the playing of music, by matching the scrolling notes on the screen.

In Quest mode, players are on a mission to save the Demigod of Rock from mechanized creatures, by recruiting warriors. Special powers have been added to the game, which are unlocked during the Quest mode, such as increasing the Star Power multiplier.

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock received lukewarm reviews, with an average score of 74%, with many reviewers stating that the game is enjoyable for Guitar Hero fans, but lacks the overall appeal of previous titles in the series.

Perhaps a tad easier than Guitar Hero 5, and slightly less time consuming. Though as you may know, these music rhythm games are heavily skill dependent. Anyone who possesses serious Guitar Hero or Rock Band experience could bring this difficulty rating down to a 3-star, or possibly a high 2-star.

Having all four instruments is necessary, as well as either friends who can use them, or you'll need to find some online boosting buddies. For those of you with serious Guitar Hero skills might be able to unlock the Platinum in 30 hours or so. Otherwise, expect to be playing for far longer.

The first thing you'll want to do is play through the Quest Mode twice. The first time, you'll be unlocking several story-related trophies. The second time, you'll be aiming for the Perfect Perfectionist, in order to earn 40 stars on each song. During these two playthroughs, play on a level you feel comfortable on, but gradually increase the difficulty to gain experience you'll need later on.

Once that's finished, you can use Quickplay and start unlocking the remaining trophies. You'll need to work on getting 2,000 stars for the Ace Astrologer trophy. There are also a few trophies which require a full band, which you can either do at home with friends, or use the boosting forums under our Links tab to find people online. Many have found the Chosen One and Hand Mutilator trophies to be the most difficult, which include beating certain songs on Expert difficulty. Just keep practicing, and you'll get it.

Mirror’s Edge Trophy Guide

Mirror’s Edge Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ****  A first-person action adventure platformer taking place over the rooftops in a dystopian future. Some of the challenge-specific trophies are quite difficult and demand much skill and patience.

Mirror’s Edge

Mirror's Edge is a first-person action-adventure platformer, and one of the first few titles on the PS3 to possess trophy support. Players run, leap, wall-climb, slide under barriers, and battle enemies to reach their goal over the rooftops in a futuristic dystopian society.

The player-character is Faith, a "runner" who transmits messages as a courier while evading government surveillance by travelling through ventilation shafts and leaping across rooftops. After learning her sister has been framed for murder, Faith must track clues in order to discover the true culprit, and why.

Mirror's Edge received positive reviews, with an average score of 78%, praised for its unique environment and overall gameplay, but criticized for its weak storyline and shortness.

While there's no online trophies to worry about, and the game itself is relatively short, the 4-star rating is for the difficulty involved with some of the challenge-specific trophies. This Platinum requires a vast amount of skill and patience.

Expect roughly 40-50 hours for the Platinum, depending on your skills.

Since you'll need at least two playthroughs anyway, we recommend starting the game on Easy mode. After completing the tutorial, you'll want to focus on finding all the bags in each level, as well as several other miscellaneous trophies along the way. This can include the Test Of Faith trophy, which requires you not to shoot any enemies throughout your playthrough. These trophies are far easier to unlock during your Easy mode run.

Once you've completed your first playthrough, you'll have unlocked Hard mode. Start your next playthrough, and use this opportunity to mop-up anything you were missing in your first run. Since you've already played through the game on Easy, Hard shouldn't be too bad, since you're now familiar with the paths to take.

Unfortunately, the hard part is still to come. First, you'll need to earn 50 stars in the Time Trials. Since there are 23 trials, this means you will need at least two stars in most of them, with three stars in at least four of them. One good trick is to download a ghost that has two or three stars, and learn their moves. Or, you can buy the Pure Timi Trials DLC, which adds an extra nine trials, making it easier to collect more stars.

Finally, we've saved the best for last: the Speedruns. These are by far the hardest part of the game, and the reason for the 4-star difficulty rating. Check out some of the videos under our Links tab to see how other players managed to complete them, if you're having trouble.

Guitar Hero Van Halen Trophy Guide

Guitar Hero Van Halen Trophy Guide. Difficulty: *****  A music rhythm game and the third band-specific title in the Guitar Hero series. Arguably the most difficult game in the Guitar Hero series, demanding serious skills for the Platinum.

Guitar Hero: Van Halen

Guitar Hero: Van Halen is a music rhythm game, and the third band-specific title in the Guitar Hero series. The game includes 25 songs by Van Halen, as well as another 19 songs which were selected by the Van Halen artists as their inspiration. The game supports up to 4 players selecting from lead and bass guitar, drums, and vocals, as well as an online multiplayer mode.

Guitar Hero: Van Halen received generally low scores, with an average rating of 54%, criticized for its lack of songs, and overall inferiority compared to other band-specific titles such as Guitar Hero: Metallica.

Van Halen is arguably the most difficult music game in the Guitar Hero series to Platinum. Aside from the standard 100% notes in 4-player bands and online trophies, getting five stars on all instruments on expert mode demands the highest level of skill on all three instruments.

If you have incredible Guitar Hero skills, then it's possible to platinum this game in 30-40 hours. But for most, it will take months of practice.

NOTE: You will need at least one of each instrument in your possession for the Platinum trophy.

You can start with the tutorial, which not only shows you the ropes, but will earn you the Have You Seen His Grades trophy.

Next, you can start working through Career mode, which you'll need to complete with all 4 instruments. The difficulty-level trophies are stackable, so if this isn't your first Guitar Hero game and you feel confident enough, you can start working through on Expert level. During this stage, there are a number of miscellaneous trophies you can unlock as well. Eventually, you'll need to get five stars on all songs on Expert with each of the four instruments. Feel free to leave this for later.

Then, there are the 4 Guest Artist related trophies. After you've unlocked the artist-characters in Career, you can select them under the Select Rocker menu.

Lastly, there are the 3-4 player trophies, which you can either do offline if you have enough friends with Guitar Hero skills, or find people online. Some will require expert difficulty, while many of them can be done on easy.

NBA Live 10 Trophy Guide

NBA Live 10

NBA Live 10 is a basketball game licensed under the National Basketball Association, and the 16th installment in the NBA Live series, as well as the last in the series for four years until the release of NBA Live 14. New features include a new training facility named the Hanger, improvements to the Dynamic DNA which was first introduced in NBA Live 09, as well as to such details of the players as their tattoos, shoes, uniform, signature shots, and moves. The game includes 31 licensed FIBA teams. Roster updates for the 2010-2011 NBA seasons were later added as free DLC.

NBA Live 10 received mainly positive reviews, with an average score of 77%, praised for its presentation and graphics, and being an overall improvement in the series, but criticized by some for its lack of game modes and redundant announcers.

NBA Live 10 was first released in October 2009, and includes 7 online trophies. Unfortunately, the online servers were closed on January 11, 2013, which means those online trophies can no longer be unlocked. Therefore, the Platinum trophy for NBA Live 10 is now Not Obtainable.

The online servers for NBA Live 10 were shut down on January 11, 2013, which means the 7 online trophies - and therefore, the Platinum trophy - is Not Obtainable. However, the game still contains 26 offline trophies that can be unlocked. So if you're still interested, then read on.

First, if you want to make things easier, you can adjust the options in Game Play to move the swing the game in your favor. This includes adjusting the sliders so that your tendencies are Up, and the AI is Down. Also, switch both the shot clock and penalties Off.

If you're new to the NBA series, you might want to start by simply playing a game and getting a feel for the controls. But if you're confident enough, you can start a game in Dynasty mode and work towards winning the championship, to unlock the Champion trophy. Setting the playoffs to 3 games will make things quicker. Games can be simulated if you have a strong team, but you may want to play the championship to avoid any risk of losing and having to start over.

After that, you can work on the player-specific related trophies, which require getting certain stats for particular NBA players. This includes scoring 81 points with Kobe Bryant for the Kobe's 81 trophy, scoring 50 points with leBron James for the King James Loves New Jersey trophy, scoring 55 points with Kobe Bryant for the 55 In NYC trophy, scoring 55 points with Tony Parker for the TP 11/05/08 trophy, getting 27 rebounds with Marcus Camby for the Camby 12/17/08 trophy, getting 10 blocks with Dwight Howard for the D12 11/12/08 trophy, getting 10 steals with Brandon Roy for the Broy 1/24/09 trophy, and scoring 55 points wth Dwayne Wade for the Flash 4/12/09 trophy.

By this point, you should also have unlocked several other trophies naturally along the way. Now, it's time to mop-up anything you still need. Most of the remaining trophies are quite easy. Just check out the requirements for whichever you still need in the NBA Live 10 trophy guides under our Links tab.
