NBA Jam

NBA Jam is a basketball game based on the National Basketball Association, and part of the NBA Jam series which began in the arcade in 1993. Unlike the NBA 2K series, NBA Jam uses 3D models with 2D high-resolution photographs of the player's heads, as well as exaggerated slam dunking, high jumping, and basketballs catching on fire. The game is 2-on-2, but also includes some 1-on-1 in boss battles, as well as online play.

NBA Jam received positive reviews with an average score of 82%, praised for its visuals and overall fun.

NBA Jam was first released in November 2010, and included 4 online trophies. Unfortunately, EA Sports closed their servers on January 11, 2013, which means these online trophies can no longer be unlocked, marking the Platinum for this game Not Obtainable.

Due to the online servers being shut down on January 11, 2013, the 4 online trophies, and therefore the Platinum, cannot be obtained. However, the game still includes 22 offline trophies, so if you're interested, then read on.

If you're new to the series, you can begin things by heading into Jam Camp, where you'll learn the controls. This will also unlock the Big Head mode.

After that, you can start playing through the Classic Campaign. There are 29 NBA teams to play in total, 7 legend teams, and a final boss. This can be done on Easy mode, if you want to make things easier on yourself. This will require 6 playthorughs to unlock all the campaign-related trophies. Also, make sure to select a team from a different division each time, so as to work towards unlocking the NBA Domination trophy.

Once this is done, you will need to face the Beastie Boys following the credits, in a four-way 21 game. This is perhaps the most challenging trophy in the game, as this challenge is no cake-walk. If you're having trouble, check out some of the Jam Boss strategies under our Links tab.

Once you've beaten the Beastie Boys and unlocked the 3 The Hard Way trophy, then congratulations! Simply mop-up any remaining trophies.

Unfortunately, with the servers down, this is as far as we can go.

NBA 2K12

NBA 2K12 is a basketball game based on the National Basketball Association, and is the thirteenth installment in the NBA 2K series, the first to include built-in 3D support, and the first to use motion controls using the PlayStation Move. Another new feature includes NBA's Greatest mode, in which players can match iconic players throughout NBA history.

NBA 2K12 received positive reviews, with an average score of 91%, praised for its realistic animations, realistic commentary, presentation, and overall fun.

The game was first released in October 2011, and included 8 online trophies. Unfortunately, the online servers were closed in November 2012, which means those 8 trophies can no longer be unlocked. Therefore, the Platinum for this game is now Not Obtainable.

The online servers for NBA 2K12 were closed in November 2012, which means 8 online trophies and therefore, the Platinum, are Not Obtainable. However, there are still 41 offline trophies that can be achieved, so if you're interested, then read on.

From the start, you can create your own My2K account, which will unlock the A 2K To Call My Own trophy.

When going for the non-simulated trophies, remember you can adjust the sliders to increase your players to 100 and the CPU stats to 0. It's best to check out the NBA 2K12 trophy guide links under our Links tab to see which settings are easiest for whichever trophy you're going for. Also, you should play at least one game and score 48 points with Kevin Durant with Oklahoma City Thunder for the G Performance trophy.

Once you've done those, you can play through the 15 memorable games. Win each one, and you will unlock Made My Name, Left My Mark, and the Wrote My Legend trophies. These can be done by playing only one minute quarters, which you can adjust under Gameplay in Quarter Length.

Next, there's The Association mode. Simply set the season to 58 games, with minutes set to 1, and each series to best of one. With these settings, you can unlock Streaking, Home Court, and Ticker Tape trophies quickly.

Then, there's the 11 My Player trophies. This is where the difficulty and time consumption comes in, as you'll need to play on Pro Difficulty without being able to customize the sliders. You will need to fulfill 10 of the 15 career goals, after which you can retire and earn the Immortality trophy. Also, you'll want to avoid simulating the games for the first few seasons in order to get the 10 million a year contract to unlock the I'm Worth It trophy.

Once you've completed the My Player trophies, then it's simply a matter of mopping-up any offline trophies you're still missing. Unfortunately, with the servers down, this is where we'll need to end things.

Mortal Kombat Trophy Guide

Mortal Kombat Trophy Guide. Difficulty: *****  A fighting game and the ninth title in the Mortal Kombat series, and a reboot of the original arcade version. While not as long as Street Fighter IV, the Platinum requires both some serious skills as well as time, even if boosting the online trophies.

Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat is a fighting game, the ninth installment in the Mortal Kombat series, and is a reboot of the original title released in arcades in 1992 and later ported onto fourth generation consoles.

Characters are rendered in three-dimensions, and fight on a two-dimensional plane. A Super Meter feature has been added, which is charged by performing certain actions in battle and allow special moves to be made. The game includes a Story Mode which is a retcon to the original trilogy, as well as a Challenge Tower, tag team fighting, and online play, with a roster of 28 playable characters.

Mortal Kombat received positive reviews, with an average score of 86% and won several Game of the Year awards in 2011, described by some critics as the best Mortal Kombat in the series, and offering plenty of nostalgia.

This 5-star difficulty, as always, does not include boosting. Aside from the many hours you'll need to put into the offline trophies, as well as the skills needed, the online trophies will only unlock for the true masters who can, for example, win ranked matches without jumping, or win ten matches in a row.

With boosting, however, the online trophies are much easier, and brings this difficulty score down to a low 4-star. While perhaps not as ridiculous as Street Fighter IV, you can expect nearly 400 hours of gameplay for the Platinum if you're boosting, and far more if you're doing it legitimately.

First, you can head into the Tutorial Mode to easily unlock the A For Effort trophy. Then jump into Fatality Trainer for the Tag You're It and License To Kill trophies.

Next, you can play through the story mode. This can be performed on any difficulty setting, and will not only unlock the remaining characters, but several trophies along the way as well, such as Halfway There, Back In Time, There Will Be Blood, Cold Fusion, and Quan Tease.

After that, you can start going through the arcade ladder with all the characters to collect coins as well as unlock a few more miscellaneous trophies. This can also be done on Easy, with the option of retrying whenever you fail.

Then, there's the tower missions. There are 300 in total, and will not only earn you more coins, but allow you to unlock more trophies along the way, such as Tower Apprentice and Tower Master.

Next, you can start working on the online trophies. These are extremely difficult to unlock legitimately, but much easier if you have a boosting partner. Either start making friends, or check out the boosting forums under our Links tab if you're having trouble. There are 13 online trophies in total.

With those trophies out of the way, you can start mopping up the remaining offline trophies, which unfortunately we left the more time-consuming ones for last. Particularly My Kung Fu Is Stronger, which requires many hours of gameplay to complete the set of objectives. Check out the Mortal Kombat trophy guide links under our Links tab for specific details on what you need.

Good luck!

WipEout HD Trophy Guide

WipEout HD Trophy Guide. Difficulty: n/o  A racing game featuring hovercrafts with weapon support, and the eighth title in the WipEout series. Possessing some incredibly challenging trophies, the Platinum requires serious racing skills.

WipEout HD

Originally released in 1995 on PS One and Sega Saturn, WipEout HD is the 8th in the WipEout series. Piloting a hovercraft, you speed through numerous races, boosting when possible and taking out the competition with an assortment of collected weapons.

You have your straight forward races, Online races, Speed Lap in which you race alone against the clock, and Zone Mode in which you can't touch the sides (much like a fast-paced game of Operation).

The graphics are beautiful, and if you don't like their music, upload your own songs! Your music will sound as though it's part of the game, echoing as you run through tunnels and muffling when taking damage.

Wipeout HD was first released in September 2008 and included 5 online trophies. Unfortunately, the online servers were closed on March 29, 2018. This means those 5 online trophies - and therefore, the Platinum trophy - have become Not Obtainable.

Wipeout HD includes five online trophies. Unfortunately, the servers were closed on March 29, 2018, which means those five online trophies - and therefore the Platinum trophy - are now Not Obtainable. However, there are still 32 offline trophies that can be unlocked. So if you're interested, then read on.

You'll eventually need to obtain gold medals on Elite difficulty in all 87 events in the Campaign. We suggest starting on Novice with Pilot Assist until you get used to the game. Once you feel ready to take off the training wheels, take off the Pilot Assist, then eventually boost the difficulty to Elite.

There are two Zone Mode related trophies: Airbraker for reaching Zone 50 using only airbrakes and and side shifts, and Zone Zeus for reaching Zone 75. If you have the Fury Pack DLC, then the Syncopia track is the easiest for this. If not, then we recommend trying on Anulpha Pass. These two tracks have the least number of sharp turns.

Following that, its a matter of mopping-up whatever offline trophies you still need. Be sure to check out the WipEout HD trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.

Good luck!

The online servers have been closed since July 31, 2012. There are 11 online trophies, which can no longer be unlocked, marking this Platinum as Not Obtainable.

Due to the online servers being shut down on July 31, 2012, the 11 online trophies, and therefore the Platinum, cannot be obtained. However, the game still includes 38 offline trophies if you simply wish to rack up your trophy count.

From the beginning, you can easily knock out the Hey Mr. DJ trophy, by simply going into 2K beats playlist under 2K beats in Features, and hitting X to deselect a song, then exiting.

With that out of the way, you can start on the My Player mode, and work your way through unlocking various related trophies. Be sure to check out the NBA 2K11 trophy guide links under our Links tab for specific details.

Next, there are 3 trophies related to the Association Mode. You'll need to play 30 games for the Home Court trophy, win 5 of those games in a row for the Streaking trophy, and win all the games in the playoffs for the Ticker Tape trophy.

Last, are the 2 trophies related to the Jordan Mode, which involve unlocking all 40 pairs of shoes for Air Apparent, and completing all objectives in the 10 games for Living The Dream.

After that, simply mop up any last remaining offline trophies you still need.
