FIFA 11

FIFA 11, also known as FIFA Soccer 11 in Noth America, is the 2010 installment and the 18th title in EA's FIFA football/soccer series of video games.

The game includes 31 leagues from 24 countries, as well as 39 national teams. New features include Pro Passing in which both the players accuracy with the control pad as well as the player-character's skills determines the accuracy of each pass, a Creation Center in which players can customize their characters in more detail, and a Career Mode which merges the previous Be A Pro and Manager modes. The game also features online multiplayer, of which the servers were shut down on January 11, 2013.

FIFA 11 received positive reviews, with an average score of 89%, and is considered one of the best titles in the series for its improvement in graphics and gameplay, as well as its step closer to realism.

FIFA 11 was released in the Fall of 2010. On January 11th 2013, EA shut down their online servers. The game includes 11 online trophies, which are now no longer available to unlock. As a result, the Platinum for FIFA 11 is now Not Obtainable.

With the servers shut down, the Platinum is Not Obtainable. However, if you still wish to collect those remaining 33 offline trophies, then read on.

From the beginning, there are a few easy trophies you can unlock if you wish to get them out of the way. First, head into the Arena and score five goals for the Back Of The Net trophy. Then play as the goalkeeper, and set the game so your only opponent is also a goalkeeper, to unlock Training Time. Then score a goal, and unlock Once In A Lifetime. Then, in the Edit menu, change a team's stadium and their entrance music to unlock both Home Maker and New Choons respectively. Then, unlock All My Own Work by changing the control settings to manual and beat a one-star team with a five-star team. Finally, head into the in-game store and you'll unlock Anything In Particular.

If you want, you can also knock out Warming The Gloves by making 10 saves as the keeper in the Arena. Then, switch off the goalie assists and play a Kick-Off match to unlock Safe Hands and Perfect Keeping.

Now, we can play some actual football/soccer. We recommend starting a Career Mode with a created player and set him as your goalie. As he builds up his experience, you will eventually get Established Keeper by the end of Season 1, as well as Good Week and Folklore by the end of Season 3. He'll then be offered a Player/Manager Contract, and once accepted, you'll unlock It's In The Blood. Make sure you play the first match after that, and you'll get the Mastermind trophy. From this point on, simulate the games until you get the Great Month trophy.

Once you've finished with the Career Mode, you can create a VP and work on the Virtual Pro and Virtual Club trophies. From this point on, it's a matter of playing 50 matches and working towards the remaining offline trophies.

Unfortunately, this is where things come to an end, since the remaining 11 online trophies cannot be unlocked due to the server closure.

When you start the game, you will be in the Arena. Here, you can score 20 goals without quitting to get the Still Practicing? trophy. Then, simply enter Practice Mode to unlock the Practice Makes Perfect trophy.

From there, go ahead and create your Virtual Pro player, which will unlock the A Star Is Born trophy. Play your matches with your Virtual Pro, to work towards the Time For A Testimonial trophy. As you play through the exhibition matches, remember to keep changing the stadium to get the Well Travelled trophy, then play a match with a team from every league for the Around The World trophy.

Finally, you can start Manager Mode and play through season after season. Here is where you will unlock the majority of the offline trophies. Remember to check the FIFA 10 trophy guide links under our Links tab for specific details on some offline trophies you can earn at this stage. Also, you will need to complete all 38 games in a full Be-A-Pro Seasons without simming a game. What's nice, is you don't actually have to win, only participate.

Unfortunately, that's all there is, since the servers were shut down. The remaining 13 online trophies cannot be earned, nor the Platinum.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is a first-person action-shooter horror, and a sequel to the 2006 game F.E.A.R. which was released before trophy support on the PlayStation 3.

You play as Michael Becket, a Delta Force operator sent to apprehend Genevieve Aristide, about where the previous game left off. He soon learns of a project called "Harbringer," which involves both himself and his squadron. Becket must uncover the mystery surrounding the danger brought on to his teammates, while stopping the supernatural being Alma from altering reality to suit her own.

The game received generally positive reviews, with an average score of 78%, praising its overall fun as a shooter, but criticizing its bland level design and ho-hum story.

F.E.A.R. 2 includes 18 online trophies. Unfortunately, after the closure of GameSpy following the Ziff Davis acquisition of IGN Entertainment, the online servers to the game were closed on July 16, 2014. As a result, the 18 online trophies - and therefore the Platinum trophy - have since become Not Obtainable.

The online servers for F.E.A.R. 2 were closed on July 16, 2014. As a result, the game's 18 online trophies - and therefore the platinum trophy - are now Not Obtainable. However, the game still includes 31 offline trophies, so if you're still interested, then read on.

This game doesn't require much of a roadmap, as you have simply the online and offline trophies. The online ones are straight forward: completing each level, completing the game on Hard mode, and finding all the collectibles. If you're in a rush, simply play from start to finish on Hard, and follow a walkthrough under our Links tab to locate all the collectibles. If you miss any, there's a chapter select to help you.

However, it's the multiplayer trophies which would have given you grief. But since the online servers are closed, we needn't worry about them anymore. Unfortunately, that also means no Platinum trophy.

Yakuza 3 Trophy Guide

Yakuza 3 Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A third-person action game in an open-world similar in style to Rockstar’s GTA series. While not at time consuming as GTA IV, the Platinum does demand a lot of time and some skills.

Yakuza 3

Yakuza 3, known in Japan as Ryu ga Gotoku 3, is a third-person open-world game, similar in style to Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto series. The game is the third title in the Yakuza series which first began on the PlayStation 2. Players control the protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu, through areas in Okinawa as well as fictional locations in Tokyo. Aside from the main story, the game also includes twenty different mini-games, a battle mode in an underground coliseum, and a vast number of sub-stories. The kyabakura events have been removed from the international version, as well as several mini-games and sub-stories.

Kiryu is looking after the orphanage in Okinawa where he had grown up. Unfortunately, the land it rests on is of interest to the government to turn it into a seaside resort, which spurs several Yakuza bosses to take an interest and drive the orphanage out. After his friend and Chairman of the Tojo Clan is murdered, Kiryu must confront and deal with the yakuza bosses.

Yakuza 3 received positive reviews, both in Japan and abroad, with an average score of 85%, praised for its graphics, attention to detail, and vast number of available activities.

This game is a high 3-star rating. If you've played any of the GTA titles, then you'll have some idea of what's involved, only on a smaller map and without online play. Aside from requiring a minimum of two playthroughs - one on Hard and one on Extra Hard - there are also a ton of mini-games to complete, collectibles to find, hitman missions, eating food at all the different restaurants, as well as all the sub-stories to complete. On top of this, some of the bosses and even sub-stories can be tough and rather frustrating.

The Platinum is certainly doable for any average player, but will require a considerable amount of time and effort to unlock, with close to 100 hours of gameplay, depending on your skills and some luck.

NOTE: The Japanese version, Ryu ga Gotoku 3, includes 5 extra trophies that were removed from the international version, such as completing the sub-stories related to the kyabakura girls, as well as some extra sub-story missions and mini-games.

We highly recommend you begin the game on Hard mode. Not only will completing Hard unlock Extra Hard, but will grant you the "golden pistol" with infinite ammo, allowing you to simply whip through your second playthrough on Extra Hard with ease.

Completing the game on Hard mode isn't too bad. Just make sure your inventory is stacked with a few weapons and lots of energy drinks when going against the bosses, as some of them can be quite tough. Also, keep in mind that the game doesn't automatically save, so it's a good idea to visit a nearby telephone booth to save your progress every once in awhile.

The Sub Story Completionist trophy is the only one that is missable during your first playthrough. If you are playing the international version, make sure you complete the following submissions: Love Letter in a Bottle in Chapter 4 (which pops up again in Chapter 10), Dotting The Eye in Chapter 6, and Girl From Back Home in Chapter 6. If you are playing the Japanese version (Ryu ga Gotoku 3) then you'll also need to complete A Trip Before Marriage in Chapter 4, and The Couple Who Wouldn't Learn in Chapter 12, which are two sub-stories removed from the international version. All other sub-stories can be completed at any point in the game, including after finishing the story.

After you complete the story on Hard mode, you'll unlock a Premium Story mode, which is basically a free-roam version of the game. Here, is where you can mop-up all those miscellaneous trophies, any sub-stories you missed, battle in the arena, and those mini-games. Also, completing the final mission in the hitman series will award you with the "golden pistol" which will be available when you start your Extra Hard playthrough.

By this point, you should have nearly all the trophies. Next, you can start your Extra Hard playthrough to earn the Testament Of Strength trophy. With the golden pistol, this is actually quite easy to do. Just run through the story, firing away, and remember to dodge once in awhile when facing the bosses.

Last, is the Ultimate Challenger trophy, where you need to beat 34 of the 35 challenges. This is best left for the end, when Kiryu has been fully upgraded.

Congratulations! You've just earned a Platinum you can be proud of.
