PlayStation Plus Free Games June 2025

It’s another month of freebies for PS+ members, and another mix bag of genres from sports to survival horror. And so, her is the PlayStation Plus Free Games June 2025 line-up which are available for download on Tuesday, June 3.

First, for the PS5, there’s Alone in the Dark, a reimagining of the original 1992 title of the same name. Players select either Edward or Emily, and venture into the Derceto Mansion to learn of its secrets within.

Next, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, the 2023 adventure platformer developed and published by Team Reptile. Play as a member of the Bomb Rush Crew and control all five boroughs of the fiction city of New Amsterdam by challenging rival gangs, evading authorities, and spraying graffiti, while cruising on either inline skates, skateboards, or bicycles.

Finally, for all those basketball fans out there, NBA 2K25 for both the PS4 and PS5. As the 26th installment in the NBA 2K series, the game includes a split of the Next Gen City affiliation in MyCareer, Legend Badges, and a Gatorade facility for building stamina.

All three PlayStation Plus Free Games June 2025 titles theoretically have a platinum trophy to unlock. We say “theoretically” because the platinum for the PS5 version of NBA 2K25 is technically unobtainable.

While none of these games are a cakewalk, the easiest platinum to unlock is arguably Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. Despite one or two tricky trophies, the overall difficulty is fairly average, and requires around 20 hours of gameplay.

Obtaining the platinum for Alone in the Dark is also average in terms of difficulty, though expect to complete two playthroughs, and several collectibles to find. This one may take you around 25 hours to complete.

Now, regarding NBA 2K25, the PS4 and PS5 trophies do not share the same list. Also, they each have their share of online trophies to unlock. It has already been announced that the online servers for both the PS4 and PS5 versions of this game will be closing on December 31, 2026. The problem is that the PS5 version has an All Timer trophy which requires you to unlock all 30 All-Time teams in PlayNow Online. Unless you were able to unlock the first All-Time team in Season 1 when the game was first released, the trophy – and therefore the platinum – are unobtainable on the PS5. Therefore, when the PS5 version of NBA 2K25 becomes available for download as a PlayStation Plus free game June 2025 title, the platinum will already be unobtainable. Just giving everyone fair warning.

Alone in the Dark

Alone in the Dark, a.k.a. Alone in the Dark: Inferno, a.k.a. Alone in the Dark: Near Death Investigation, a.k.a. Alone in the Dark 5, is the fifth installment in the horror-game series.

The story opens with Edward, a paranormal investigator, being dragged to the roof of a building to be killed. He is suddenly rescued by an unknown assailant, and as he searches for an exit, Edward witnesses other people either being killed or possessed by a strange demonic force. The player must survive the horror, overcome Edward's amnesia, and uncover the truth of what's happening.

The game received very mixed reviews, ranging from "pretty good" to "terrible." Some reviews, particularly in Europe, gave such low ratings to the game that Atari even threatened lawsuits.

While not as quick to get as, say, Hannah Montana or Terminator: Salvation, Alone in the Dark is one of those games which you can complete in one playthrough. Many of the trophies are either story based, or require you NOT to use the fast forward action to skip any sequences. The others are simple challenges throughout the story.

Read through any of the guides we've linked to, just to prepare ahead of what's required to gain the trophy. In about 8 hours, you should have another Platinum added to your collection.

If you're playing the game purely for the trophies and not too worried about spoilers, check out the Trophy Guides on the Links page and breeze through them. Be aware of which challenges are required in which episodes. Many of them, for example, can be acquired in episode 3.

The fast forward action in the game allows the player to skip a particular area which may be difficult - a strange but interesting addition to the game, making Alone in the Dark feel somewhat like a DVD with boring scenes you can skip ahead. To get the platinum, make sure you never use the fast forward action! There is a trophy for each episode completed without the fast forward.

A simple but effective Trophy Guide is here, created by SwatTJ. The episode in which each trophy can be obtained is listed, and even includes a list of all possible combinations for the Handyman Carnby trophy:
