Crysis 3

Crysis 3 is a first-person sci-fi shooter, the third installment in the Crysis series, and features a multiplayer mode with up to 12 players on the PlayStation 3 version.

Twenty-four years after the events of Crysis 2, Prophet has returned to New York, only to find the city turned into an urban rainforest, enclosed within a Nanodome by the evil CELL Corporation. After learning the truth behind CELL's motives for the Nanodome, Prophet begins his revenge mission.

The game received a wide mix of reviews, ranging between average to excellent, with an average score of 81%, praised for its singleplayer campaign, visuals and great story, but criticized for awkward vehicle combat and - by some reviewers - its multiplayer mode.

Compared to most first-person shooters, Crysis 3 is not too challenging. If you begin playing on Supersoldier (the most difficult mode) and find all the collectibles, you will have the majority of the trophies on your first playthrough. A stage select makes mopping up easy.

There are 13 online trophies which, depending on your skills, will take you around 10 hours to complete. Boosting might make a few of these easier, but is not necessary.

If you're in a rush for that platinum, we recommend beginning your game on Supersoldier mode. It's not as challenging as other FPS games on hard mode, including Crysis 2. Along the way, you'll want to keep an eye out for two types of collectibles: weapon attachments and nano upgrade kits, for both the Geared-Up and Suited-Up trophies, respectively. There are several other trophies to be earned along the way, so check out the trophy guides in our Links page for further details.

Once you're finished, you can use the chapter select to mop-up any offline trophies you missed.

Lastly, there are 13 online trophies to acquire. You'll need to play on all 12 different maps for the Block Party trophy. Many require either a certain number of kills with particular weapons, or a certain combination, as well as reaching rank 20 for the Rising Star trophy. Check out the Crysis 3 trophy guide links under our Links tab for further details, and join the forum we've posted to find a boosting partner if you're struggling.

Crysis 2 Trophy Guide

Crysis 2 Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***   A sci-fi first-person shooter, and sequel to the 2007 title. At least one playthrough on its hardest level is required, as well as collectibles to find. Lots of online grinding.

Crysis 2

A sequel to the 2007 game (released on PS3 in 2011) Crysis 2 is a sci-fi first-person shooter in which players can customize their weapons and abilities. The game also includes multiplayer in addition to the campaign.

Alcatraz, a Force Recon Marine, has collected the Nanosuit 2.0 from Army Delta Force officer Laurence "Prophet" Barnes. CryNet Systems, however, has been hunting for Prophet to get back the suit, and so now is mistakenly searching for Alcatraz as he makes his way through the ravaged New York City.

Crysis 2 received positive reviews, with an average score of 85% for its inspiring graphics and fun multiplayer, but criticized for having a linear gameplay in comparison to its open-world predecessor.

Unlike the first Crysis and Crysis 3, this sequel requires a lot of online grinding. You'll need to play the campaign at least once - though more likely you'll be playing it twice, once on easy and once on Supersoldier - as well as finding collectibles along the way.

There are 15 online trophies to gather, one of which - Crysis, What Crysis? - requires you to reach the highest online rank, which will take you about 60 hours of multiplayer, depending on your skills. In addition, the Dedication trophy requires you to play an online ranked match six months after the first time you logged in. This means, the minimum amount of time you can obtain the platinum is six months.

Since you'll need to wait six months to claim the Dedication trophy, we recommend hopping onto multiplayer and completing your first ranked game. This will start the clock.

Next, start up the campaign. While it's possible to collect all the trophies in one playthrough, we recommend playing first on Easy. This will not only make things easier as you try to collect other trophies along the way, but you can then carry over all your upgrades to a New Game+ which will make completing it on Supersoldier much easier.

Along the way, you'll need to find all 18 statues, one in each of the eighteen levels, for The Tourist trophy. Check out the walkthroughs under our Links tab for help with their locations. Also, there are 5 level-specific trophies to watch out for: Food For Thought in chapter 2, Hole In One in chapter 9, Band Of Brothers in chapter 10, Literary Agent in chapter 12, and Stealth Assassin in chapter 16. Check out the Crysis 2 trophy guide links under our Links tab for further details.

Once all the campaign-related trophies are out of the way, you can head back into multiplayer. This is where all the grinding will come in, as you boost your character's level to the max - rank 50 - for the Crysis, What Crysis? trophy, while collecting others along the way. This will take you roughly 60 hours of online gameplay, depending on your skills.

Finally, if you happen to get all the online trophies before the six months is up, remember to pop back in half a year after your first played ranked game to play another, in order to claim the Dedication trophy - and your Platinum.

Crysis Trophy Guide

Crysis Trophy Guide. Difficulty: **   A first-person shooter and a port from the 2007 PC game. A playthrough on its highest difficulty setting is required. Though skill-dependent, expect roughly 15 hours for the Platinum.

Crysis

First released for the PC in 2007, the ever-popular sci-fi first-person shooter was ported onto the PlayStation 3 four years later. Players take control of Jake Dunn - also known as "Nomad" - a U.S. Army Delta Force soldier armed with a range of futuristic weapons and dressed in a Nanosuit. During a fight to reclaim an island from North Korean forces, a strange alien structure is discovered hidden within a mountain, spelling trouble for Nomad and his gang.

The original PC version of Crysis received incredibly high praise, with an average score of 92%, named one of the best FPS titles to date, and won several Game of the Year awards by multiple gaming magazines.

This 2-star rating is more for skills than time-consumption, and mainly due to the difficulty of the final boss. Overall, you can play through the game on its highest difficulty setting, then simply use a chapter select to mop-up anything you missed. No online trophies, and nothing overtly challenging.

Shouldn't take you more than 15 hours to obtain the Platinum.

If you're in a rush for that Platinum, select Delta mode (which is the hardest difficulty setting) and start working through from start to finish. Many trophies are story-related, while others will come naturally to you during your playthrough.

Once you've completed the game, simply use the chapter select to mop-up anything you missed. Check out the Crysis trophy guide links under our Links tab for specific details.
