Godfather II

The Godfather II is based on the 1974 film of the same name and is a sequel to The Godfather, released for the PlayStation and other consoles in 2006 - therefore does not have trophy support.

In a third-person playground-style shooter, you play as Dominic, a trusted member of the Corleone family. The story begins in Cuba, where the mafia are setting about dividing up their territories, when the revolution brings their meeting to a halt. Dominic manages to rescue Michael Corleone to safety. Dominic is then put in charge of New York, maintaining its control in the Corleone's hands.

During the game, you'll be taking over various shops and rackets, attacking and defending against other mafia gangs, and doing favors for people - all under the backdrop of New York, Florida and Cuba. It is a simplistic version of Grand Theft Auto or Saint's Row.

Perhaps a little more time-consuming than, say, the Uncharted series or Heavy Rain, but compared to most sandbox games, definitely doable. The world of Godfather is nowhere near as vast as Liberty City, and the story not as long. You'll spend the game taking over businesses, earning cash, killing people execution style, and upgrade your men while sending them out on missions.

Takes more time than skill. Expect roughly 15-20 hours for the Platinum.

For the most part, you won't need any guides or walkthroughs to get through the game with all the trophies. Just make sure you've broken through all the banks, cracked all the safes, taken over all the territories, and completed all the execution styles before the final battle in the game. On the pause screen, you will be given a checklist of all necessary challenges, and which have been completed.

Playing the game on Easy will not affect your trophies. So if you're in a hurry, feel free to do so. Try to get all the execution styles when you can. As you progress through the game and take over territories, the enemies will become more sparse, making this challenge more difficult. Particularly watch for the 'slam against a table' style. This must be done in a bar or house, where such pieces of furniture are available. The plastic tables out on the patios won't work.

For the Accept This as a Gift trophy, these favors are not from the random people on the street. There are 12 corrupt officials in the game - 3 in New York, 3 in Cuba, and 6 in Florida. Find them, do the favors, and get the trophy.

IGN has a pretty good Walkthrough, which follows most of the trophies like connecting the dots. Just make sure to take time-out from the story to focus on execution styles:

A great Trophy Guide was created by olsen77, which also includes a map of the three cities:
