Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time

Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, known as Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time in Europe, is an action platformer in a sci-fi setting, and the third installment in the Ratchet & Clank series. Players use an assortment of weapons to attack enemies, solve puzzles, as well as fight in starship combat.

Following the events of Quest for Booty, Clank has been abducted by the Zoni and held in suspended animation. Ratchet must help save his friend, while stopping Dr. Nefarious and a cyborg mercenary named Lord Vorselon from taking control of the Great Clock.

Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time received very positive reviews, with an average score of 89%. The game was praised for its visuals, overall entertainment, unique time puzzles, and considered by many critics to be the best title in the series thus far.

The difficulty is about the same as any other Ratchet & Clank title, though a bit more time consuming, hence the 2-star difficulty rating. Two playthroughs are required, one on Hard and one on Challenge mode, as well as a chance to mop-up remaining trophies.

Expect around 25 hours for the Platinum.

You'll need to complete the game on Hard mode, in order to unlock Challenge mode. In which case, we recommend skipping Casual and Medium, and going straight to Hard. But don't worry, it's not that hard.

For the most part, you can simply play through the game up to the end without worrying about anything. For the sake of convenience, you can work on some of the weapon-related trophies, and collect Zoni in order to unlock planets along the way.

Once you've defeated the final boss at the end of Hard mode, DO NOT start your Challenge mode yet. Instead, select to return to the point before the final boss. This is your chance to free roam, and collect all the other trophies. If you wish, you can even change the difficulty setting mode to Casual to make things easier.

Once you've collected all the trophies with the exception of Glutton For Punishment, it's time to for your second playthrough, this time on Challenge mode. Create a new game save, and start working through the game. Luckily, you'll still have all your weapon upgrades, which should make this run not too difficult.
