SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs

SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs, also known as SOCOM: Special Forces in Europe, is a third-person action tactical shooter, and part of the SOCOM series which began on the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable. The game features both an online co-op campaign and multiplayer. The online servers were closed on January 28, 2014.

Taking place in Malaysa, a revolutionary group called the Naga are fighting against the government, and have hijaked ships belonging to Clawhammer Security, a private military coompany. NATO Operations Commander Cullen Grey has taken command of a five-person Navy SEALs team (NATO special forces, in Europe) in order to find and remove the leader of Naga and stop their uprising.

SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs received mixed reviews, with an average score of 67%, praised for its co-op and multiplayer experience, but criticized for having a short and mediocre story.

The game has 3, rather simple online trophies. Unfortunately, on January 28, 2014, the servers were closed, making these three trophies impossible to unlock. Therefore, the Platinum for SOCOM 4 has become Not Obtainable.

The online servers were closed on January 28, 2015, which means the three online trophies cannot be unlocked, and therefore the platinum remains Not Obtainable. However, there are still 41 offline trophies which can be collected. So if you're interested, read on.

There are three difficulty modes, and it's up to you which one you prefer: Easy, Medium or Hard. You simply need to beat the game on any difficulty in order to unlock Elite. The game is quite short, and there's a chapter select afterwards, if you simply want to play through the story the first time round.

However, if you want to save time, you can follow one of the collectible guides under our Links tab to unlock the Information Warfare and The Sweetest Darkest Juice Is At Its Core trophies. You'll also need to find weapons to add to your collection, for the Armed To The Teeth trophy. And finally, there are some miscellaneous trophies which can be unlocked in missions one, two, three, five, eight, and fourteen. Check out the SOCOM 4 US Navy SEALs trophy guide links under our Links tab for specific details on those.

Once that's finished, and you've unlocked Elite mode, you can go ahead and work your way through that, which will earn you the Best Of The Best trophy.

Finally, if needed, use the chapter select to mop-up the last few offline trophies you need.

MAG

MAG, an acronym for Massive Action Game, is a first-person online multiplayer which supports up to 256 players in a single match. Players are separated into eight-player squads, with four in individual platoons. One player in each squad leads their troops against enemy players, in which ranking is based on how well each player performs in their assigned task and role. Aside the training mode, the game includes four separate modes, and two extra as downloadable content. On January 28, 2014, the servers were closed, thereby making this game no longer playable.

MAG received positive reviews, with an average score of 76%, praised for its massive multiplayer action and creative level-up system, though criticized by some for its bugs and lack of content.

The game was released in early 2010, and unfortunately the online servers were closed on January 28, 2014. This means not only is the Platinum Not Obtainable, but the entire game is unplayable, since it's an online-only title.

The only advice we can give now, unfortunately, is NOT to buy this game.

The servers were closed on January 28, 2014. Since MAG is only an online game, there's nothing you can do with it, except maybe read the instruction manual, and decorate your shelf with the clam-shell box.

As the servers were closed on January 28, 2014, the game is no longer playable, which naturally means the trophies and Platinum is Not Obtainable. The only reason we still keep these Trophy Guides and other links is for those who are curious to see what was previously involved in unlocking the trophies. At the time, it was a rather difficult Platinum to achieve.
