Bioshock Infinite

Bioshock Infinite is a first-person shooter, and the third installment in the Bioshock series, despite not connecting with the previous two storylines but bearing similar style in gameplay.

Taking place in 1912, Booker DeWitt is sent to the floating city of Columbia to find Elizabeth, a woman held captive and possessing strange powers, while escaping from two different factions: the Founders and the Vox Populi. Unlike the underwater city of Rapture in the previous games, Infinite's combat takes place over the open-air city's Skyline rollercoaster-like rails.

Bioshock Infinite received outstanding reviews, with an average score of 97%, praised for its intriguing plot and fascinating visuals, and compared favorably to the original Bioshock game.

Time consumption will depend on your skills and luck at finding all collectibles throughout the game. While a chapter select is available after completion, and the collectibles are stackable, the game doesn't keep track of what you still need. This means either break out a pad of paper and a pen, or rely on an incredible memory - otherwise you'll be wasting time searching for collectibles you may have already gotten.

You'll also need to complete the game on its hardest difficulty, which doesn't provide you with an objective marker, and you can't purchase anything from the vending machines. Skills and patience are required.

Overall, while it's possible to gain the platinum in one playthrough, most likely it will take at least two, plus some mopping-up if required. Expect to dedicate between 20-30 hours on this puppy.

NOTE: The Trophies on the PS4 have a separate list than those on the PS3.

As we mentioned earlier, it's possible to load up the hardest difficulty and get through the game in one playthrough. If you wish to do so, enter the Konami Code while highlighting the "Play Game" option in the Main Menu (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, circle, X, start). However, due to the vast number of collectibles required to find, and lacking an objective marker, it's highly recommended you begin on Normal mode. This way you can focus on finding the collectibles while remembering where your objectives are located.

There are three trophies which MUST be obtained in one playthrough. Kitted Out, which requires one weapon and one Vigor to be fully upgraded. Raising The Bar, which is simply upgrading one attribute of its highest level. And Infused With Greatness, which requires collecting every infusion in the game. There are 25 Infusion upgrades throughout the game. While a Chapter Select is available, whichever chapter you select, you will have to play from that point up until the end of the game. Therefore, it's highly recommended you find all these collectibles in one go.

If you've followed one of the walkthroughs in our Links guide and completed Normal mode with all the collectibles and necessary kills, all you should have left is completing the game on its hardest difficulty mode - 1999 Mode - without purchasing anything from a "Dollar Bill" vending machine.
