Jimmie Johnson’s Anything with an Engine
Jimmie Johnson's Anything with an Engine is a kart-racing video game, similar in style to ModNation Racers or Mario Kart, in which players use weapons to sabotage their opponents. The game features Jimmie Johnson, American NASCAR driver, as both his voice and likeness. Players can race in a Career mode, Single Events, Time Trials, and racing against up to 4 players locally, or 8 players online.
Jimmie Johnson's Anything with an Engine received lukewarm reviews, with an average score of 60%, praised for its humor and amusement, but stated to be overall a mediocre game.
The offline trophies aren't too difficult, and with some practice and patience, all can be unlocked without too much time. However, the 3-star difficulty is due to the 3 online trophies, which in themselves aren't overly challenging, but ever since the release of the game in 2011, we've found the online community to be rather dead. If you have a boosting partner, then this score can be brought down to a 2-star rating.
Overall, expect roughly between 10-15 hours for the offline trophies. The online will depend on your luck connecting with someone, or if you have a boosting partner.
Many trophies require you to complete on All-Star difficulty, which is the hardest difficulty mode in the game. So, rather than having to redo all the races, we recommend simply starting everything on All-Star and just do your best.
We recommend starting with the Time Trials, as this will be a good chance to get familiar with both the controls and the tracks, before embarking on the Career Mode with competition. This will also net you the Speedstar and Sprinter trophies. Again, make sure you're playing on All-Star.
After that, you can start working through the Career mode on All-Star. There are five cups you need to win, with seven events per cup. You don't need to come in 1st place in the first six events, only have the highest points in order to compete in the final event for the cup. After the six events, if you're not in the highest position, then simply replay your worst event to get your score up.
Once you've completed the Career mode and have unlocked the Jimmie Johnson character, you can start on the 3 online trophies. As we said before, the online community is rather dead. If you're having trouble finding people to race against, try one of the boosting forums under our Links tab. Also, make sure you're using the Jimmie Johnson character - and win - to unlock the Advocate trophy.
After that, simply mop-up any other trophies you're still missing, which might include finding all the shortcuts or using certain weapons. Check out the few Jimmie Johnson's Anything with an Engine trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you need.
