Sports Champions

Sports Champions is a sports game and launch title for the PlayStation Move controller, which came bundled together in some regions. Players use the Move controller and PlayStation Eye camera to participate in six different sporting events: Table tennis, Beach volleyball, Gladiator duel, Disc golf, Bocce, and Archery. Players choose from a selection of avatar athletes and select from three different game modes: Free Play for practicing events, Challenge Mode for competing to increase high scores, and Champion Cup where players compete against ten other athletes. The game also allows for up to 4-players.

Sports Champions received mainly positive reviews with an average score of 75%, praised for its overall fun, particularly as a party game, though criticized by some for its slight lack in event compilation.

While it's technically possible to get the Platinum in around 25 hours, this is heavily dependent on your skills. The 3-star is for the overall difficulty of the game, particularly with some trophies such as earning a total of 600 stars in the Champion Cup. Things will get easier as you eventually figure out the controls and learn the best strategy, but expect some frustration up until then.

NOTE: You will need 2 Move controllers for the Platinum.

Sports Champions doesn't require much of a roadmap, as you can compete in any event at any time, which means the trophies don't need to be unlocked in any particular order. The only thing we recommend is to begin by going through the training sessions, which will help you get used to the controls, and make future play a little easier.

For the most part, you'll probably want to play through all the events, eventually winning bronze, silver and gold cups. After that, start working on earning 600 stars in Champion Cups for the Super Star trophy. This is by far the most challenging part of the game. Focus on getting three stars in everything in each event you feel confident in, then as many as you can in the others.

Once that's all out of the way, the rest is simply mopping-up what's left. Be sure to check out the Sports Champions trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need, and what the requirements are.
