Heroes Over Europe

Heroes Over Europe is a combat flight simulator, taking place during events of World War II, and a sequel to Heroes of the Pacific, released on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

The story follows an American, a Briton and a New Zealander pilot, through fourteen different missions during World War II. Over 40 planes can be unlocked during the course of playthrough, and online support for up to 16 players had been available, with Dogfight, Team Dogfight, Survivor, and Team Survivor modes. However, as of Spring 2013, Ubisoft closed down their online servers.

Heroes Over Europe received lukewarm reviews, with an average score of 62%, with very average graphics, poor dialogue, and overall bearing repetitive gameplay.

This was an extremely challenging platinum, and would have received a 4-star rating. However, in Spring of 2013, Ubisoft shut down their servers. Since then, the two multiplayer trophies - Super Ace and Ultimate Ace - cannot be collected.

Therefore, this Platinum is now Not Obtainable.

This Platinum is Not Obtainable, due to the servers being closed down. However, if you still wish to collect the other trophies, then here are some tips.

Start with your first playthrough on Pilot difficulty, which is the normal mode. Aside from introducing you to the game and controls, you will also earn all the story-related trophies, as well as a few others along the way. During this playthrough, make sure to complete all the bonus objectives to unlock all possible plane upgrades on this mode, which will work towards the Collector trophy. Also, it is a good idea to work on Big Game Hunter, which requires you to Ace Kill 12 different planes. Check out the trophy guides in our Links page for a list of these 12 planes, and make sure to keep track of the ones you Ace Kill, as the game doesn't do it for you.

Next, you can start up Ace difficulty, which is the hard mode. The good news is, you can replay the missions now, in any order you like. However, the difficulty factor is quite high, particularly towards completing the bonus objectives, which you must do in order to earn the Collector trophy. This is the reason why this game would have received a 4-star rating.

By now, you should have all the offline trophies. However, you can still earn the Specialist trophy playing solo via Lan. And if you happen to own two PlayStation 3s, you can still earn the Red Baron trophy. The Spectator, Fighter Ace, Support Chief, and The Oskar trophies are technically still available despite the servers being down, though would require you to have 5 PS3s connected together, and five copies of the game. Otherwise, your trophy hunting for this game ends here.
