This War of Mine: The Little Ones

This War of Mine: The Little Ones is a third-person survival game with management aspects, set during the Bosnian War. Players control a number of civilians surviving in a makeshift shelter, scavenging for and making tools to survive, while also making decisions which can impact the ending for certain characters. The goal is to keep the characters alive by maintaining their health, hunger, and mood levels until the game ends after a randomized duration, when a ceasefire is declared.

This War of Mine: The Little Ones received positive reviews with an average score of 80%, praised for its survival tactic elements, and overall emotional experience in its gameplay.

The Platinum can be as tricky as you make it for yourself, depending on how many playthroughs you're willing to do. At least one full playthrough is required, after which you are able to customize the settings of the game. From there, it's possible to do one more customized playthrough, which can be quite tricky and requires a lot of strategizing. Or, two - even three - more customized plathroughs to make things easy.

Expect anywhere between 15-30 hours for the Platinum, depending on how many playthroughs you decide to perform.

While the game itself is not particularly difficult, some trophies can be a little tricky. Nearly all of them are missable, and the more you go after in a single playthrough, the more complicated it gets.

Also, your first playthrough cannot be customized, which means you won't be able to get all, or even most, of the trophies. The game will begin in a random season, with random characters, and end after a randomly decided duration. After this first playthrough, you will be able to customize the game.

So, we recommend spending your first playthrough simply getting used to the mechanics of the game - which is perhaps the most challenging aspect.

If you'r adamant about getting more trophies on this first playthrough, then we recommend the Diary: We've Been Everywhere trophy for visiting all scavenging locations, which can be difficult when you're also visiting dangerous areas in the later, customized games.

You can also go for the Diary: Finished Ransacking trophy for eventually exploring every part of the safehouse. And if you truly feel daring, you can try for the Diary: First Blood trophy for killing someone while out scavenging.

Now that you've completed your first playthrough and gotten used to the game, it's time to unlock the bulk of the trophies. Here, things will be a little easier, as you can now customize the game to help meet the requirements for some trophies.

During this second playthrough, we recommend including a child in your customized set of characters, to get both the Note: The School Of Life and the Diary: Our Own Playground trophies for teaching the child everything possible. Also, let the child reach a broken state, then recover, to get the Note: No More Tears trophy.

Focus also on reaching the ceasefire with all characters alive - including the child - to unlock the Epilogue: War Is Over, the Epilogue: We Made It, and the Diary: Our Future trophies.

Aside from that, get familiar with the trophies and attempt as many as you feel comfortable going for during this second playthrough. Be sure to check out the This War of Mine The Little Ones trophy guide links under our Links tab for more details.

Finally, set up a third playthrough if necessary, to unlock whichever trophies you're still missing.
