Dying Light

Dying Light is a first-person survival horror set in an open world. Players explore the zombie apocalypse environment, scavenging for supplies and crafting weapons, while progressing through the story by completing missions. The game features a day-night cycle which alters aspects of the gameplay, such as zombies becoming more aggressive and dangerous at night. The game also includes online multiplayer with up to four players in co-op mode.

Set in the fictional city of Harran after a viral outbreak has transformed most of the population into zombie-like creatures, Kyle Crane is an undercover operative sent to find Kadir "Rais" Suleiman, a politician who possesses a file that could incriminate Crane's agency. However, he must soon decide to go ahead with his mission, or help the survivors he encounters.

Dying Light received generally positive reviews with an average score of 74%, praised for its graphics, co-operative multiplayer mode, expansive open-world, and its day-night cycle, though criticized by some for overused fetch-quests and technical issues.

This is a low 3-star rating. The game itself is not particularly difficult, but can be quite time consuming with a lot to do after completing the story, such as completing side-missions and finding collectibles. There are four online trophies which can be tricky finding players for, particularly the Polyamory trophy which requires you to complete five quests with the same three partners. However, if you can find three other boosting partners, they are easy to do. Overall, the game is more time consuming than difficult.

Expect around 40-50 hours for the Platinum, depending on skills as well as whether or not you boost the online trophies.

You can start things off by playing through the main story, which should take about 10 hours. There are no missable trophies to worry about. However, to make things easier later on, you may wish to perform the Random Events that occasionally pop up on the map. Doing this will help you in working towards the We're All In This Together trophy for saving 15 survivors from zombies, and the Homo Homini Lupus Est trophy from rescuing 15 survivors from Rais's men. During your main story playthrough, don't worry about the side missions just yet.

At any time after completing the main story, you can start working on the multiplayer trophies, which you'll be completing those side missions. The hardest trophy, if doing this legitimately, will be the Polyamory trophy for completing 5 quests in one co-op game with the same three partners, obviously because players come and go.

You'll also need to take part in 10 co-op competitions for the Harran Athletics trophy, and win 7 co-op competitions for the Lucky 7 trophy. Also, if you managed to unlock the Polyamory trophy, you'll have automatically obtained the I've Got Your Back trophy for completing at least one co-op game. Otherwise, the rest is a matter of mopping-up all the other miscellaneous trophies, which is more time consuming than difficult. This will include finding a heap of collectibles, some kill-related trophies if you haven't yet unlocked them, and a few other random ones.
