Like the variety of flowers you might see while going for a walk outside, PS+ members are getting quite a bouquet of games next month, from card games to FPS to dinosaurs. So with further ado, here is the PlayStation Plus Free games May 2025 line-up which will be available or download on Tuesday, May 6.
First, for the PS5, there is Ark: Survival Ascended, a revamp of the 2017 game Ark: Survival Evolved. Similar to the previous action-adventure survival game with crafting elements, players are free to explore the dino-inhabited planet, build bases, and chose to either attack, tame, or run away from the lumbering dinosaurs.
Next, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Balatro developed by LocalThunk and published by Playstack. Described as a poker-themed deck-building game, players chose from a deck which possess unique cards and effects, and play using poker rules as a basis – but with many complex additions.
Finally, for both the PS4 and PS5, there is the 2023 FPS shooter Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, developed by Auroch Digital. Set in the Warhammer 40,000 world, this single-player shooter has players controlling a Space Marine and fighting against both Chaos Space Marines and Chaos daemons.
All three PlayStation Plus Free Games May 2025 titles have a platinum trophy to unlock.
Among them, if you are in favor of some cheating, Ark: Survival Ascended has the easiest and quickest platinum. Similar to its predecessor, players can easily unlock each trophy by entering Admin Commands. This process will take less than 10 hours.
And if you still have no issues with a little cheating, obtaining the platinum for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is another quickie. The game allows you to activate cheats, such as unlimited ammo and health, which will allow you to make a fast and easy run through the game in under 10 hours.
On the other side of the spectrum, unlocking the platinum for Balatro will take well over 100 hours of gameplay, due to the grind of successfully winning over a hundred games for each mode combination, as well as complete the game with each joker on the hardest difficulty setting.
