While some of us may still be experiencing cold weather from this overly long winter, Sony has provided us with three great reasons to stay home and keep warm. And so, here is the PlayStation Plus free games April 2026 line-up which will be available for download on Tuesday, April 7.
First, for the PS5, there’s Lords of the Fallen, a successor to the 2014 game of the same name, developed by Hexworks and published by CI Games. In this third-person Souls-like action RPG, players use melee weapons and magic to battle enemies, as they try to stop the dark god’s return. Online play is available for both co-op as well as player-versus-player.
Next, for the PS5, there’s Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, a co-op raid battle title based on the Sword Art Online franchise. The game includes over 20 playable characters across seasons 1 – 3 of the anime series, with both single-player and online multiplayer.
Lastly, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Tomb Raider I-III Remastered. This includes the three original Tomb Raider games first released on the PlayStation One back in the 1990’s. Take control of Lara Croft as you solve ancient mysteries and battle enemies. Players can swap between the new updated graphics, or the original polygon images.
Regarding the platinum situation for the PlayStation Plus free games April 2026 line-up, Lords of the Fallen and Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream each have a platinum trophy to unlock. In the case of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, this depends on which system you are downloading the game for. If you are playing the PS4 version (which can be downloaded onto the PS5) then there are three platinum trophies, one for each game. However, if you are playing the PS5 version, there is no platinum trophy and instead the games are lumped together in a bundle with bronze, silver, and gold trophies.
Obtaining the platinum for Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream is average in terms of difficulty, although this depends on your fighting game skills. Expect over 100 hours of gameplay for this one.
Unlocking the platinum for Lords of the Fallen can be quite challenging. It has also been reported to be difficult in finding online players for unlocking the online trophies. Expect around 90 hours to unlock the platinum.
Lastly, if you are playing the PS4 version of the Tomb Raider Remastered series, then it could be said that the platinum for Tomb Raider I and II are each average in terms of difficulty. However, expect around 50 hours of gameplay for the first, and only around 30 hours for the second. The platinum for Tomb Raider III has the most challenging platinum among the three, and can take you anywhere between 30-50 hours, depending on your skills.
