While some may be sore at Sony right now, due to their recent announcement of ending physical disc production in the near future, they are of course still on schedule with their monthly freebies for PlayStation Plus members. And so, here is the PlayStation Plus free games August 2026 line-up, which will be available for download on Tuesday, August 4.
First, for the PS5, there’s Big Walk, the cooperative adventure title developed by House House, and published by Panic. Explore an open-world and solve puzzles with your friends using different methods of communication. The game allows for two to four players.
Next, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Dying Light 2: Stay Human, the 2022 action RPG survival horror, developed by Techland, and sequel to the 2015 Dying Light. Taking place 22 years after its predecessor, players navigate a zombie apocalyptic open world as player-character Aiden Caldwell, who must decide the fate of The City while being caught between two warring factions.
Finally, for the PS4, there’s Signalis, a 2022 survival horror game developed by rose-engine. Players control Elster/LSTR, an android, in search of her lost partner, while uncovering secrets and solving puzzles, while battling against creatures.
Within the PlayStation Plus free games August 2026 line-up, all three titles have a platinum trophy to unlock.
Among them, Signalis arguably has the quickest and easiest platinum trophy to unlock. The game itself is average in terms of difficulty, and requires about 10 hours of gameplay. With a guide, this can be even easier and quicker.
Next, Big Walk is easy enough with a guide, and only requires roughly 10-14 hours, depending on whether or not you are using a guide. However, keep in mind that the game requires at least two players.
Lastly, obtaining the platinum for Dying Light 2: Stay Human is average in terms of difficulty, but you will need well over 100 hours. This is due to several grindy trophies. Also, the game includes a few co-op related trophies, as well.
