Ghostbusters The Video Game Trophy Guide

Ghostbusters The Video Game Trophy Guide. Difficulty: n/o  A third-person action based on the film franchise and featuring the voice-talents of the film’s actors. Since the servers were shut down in December 2012, the online trophies – and therefore, the Platinum – are now Not Obtainable.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game

Based on the film franchise, Ghostbusters: The Video Game is a third-person action game, staring all the lead-voice actors from the movies (minus Sigoureny Weaver) with script details written by Akryod and Ramis themselves, who also wrote the original films.

Taking place two years after the film Ghostbusters II, a PKE shockwave bursts through New York City, causing numerous ghosts to keep the team rather busy. It's soon learned that Ivo Shandor, the architect of the building once used to summon Gozer, had also designed a series of tunnels which transport ectoplasm, connected at various nodes, with the plan to merge the real world with the ghost world.

You play as a new rookie to the team, helping the Ghostbusters stop New York City from turning into an underworld. Play around with Egon's latest prototypes, track ghosts with your PKE meter, and be careful not to cross the streams!

This game originally received a 4-star rating, due to the difficulty in the online trophies. However, as of December 2012, the servers for the PlayStation 3 version of Ghostbusters were shut down, due to a lack of players. As a result, the 10 online trophies cannot be acquired, which means the Platinum for Ghostbusters: The Video Game is Not Obtainable.

The servers for the PlayStation 3 port of Ghostbusters: The Video Game went down in December 2012, which means the 10 online trophies cannot be earned. However, if you still wish to collect the offline trophies, they are not particularly difficult.

Start the game on Casual and collect as many trophies as possible towards the end. Check out the Ghostbusters The Video Game trophy guide links under our Links page for more details. Also, during your first playthrough, focus on getting the Nice Shootin' Tex! Trophy, which means doing less than $100,000 in property damage, since this is harder of the two property damage related trophies.

Once that's finished, switch to Professional mode, and go nuts doing as much damage as possible, in order to achieve The Destructor trophy. By now, you should have all the offline trophies.

Unfortunately, with the online servers shut down, this is as far as we can go.

Winter Sports 2011 Trophy Guide

Winter Sports 2011 Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  An unofficial simulation of the Olympic Winter Games featuring nine different events. While the offline trophies are equal in difficulty to the previous installment, the online are challenging without boosting.

Winter Sports 2011

Winter Sports 2011, also known as Winter Sports 2011: Go For Gold, is the next installment in the revival of the classic series that unofficially simulates the Olympic Winter Games. The game adds snowmobile to its list of disciplines, now bringing the total to nine different events which are divided across over 40 Challenges and 16 Cups. The game also includes online multiplayer and local split-screen.

While few critics reviews Winter Sports 2011, those that did gave very mixed reviews with an average score of 59%, praised for its inclusion of online multiplayer and being an overall improvement over its predecessor.

The majority of the trophies in Winter Sports 2011 aren't any more or less difficult than those in the previous installment. However, the game includes an online multiplayer mode, along with 4 online trophies. Considering both the dead online community as well as the challenge of getting these four trophies legitimately, this game's Platinum has a 3-star difficulty rating.

However, if you manage to find a boosting partner, the online trophies can be earned in roughly 30 minutes, bringing the difficulty rating down to a 2-star.

Expect around 20 hours for the Platinum with a boosting partner, and far more if attempting the online trophies legitimately.

If you're completely new to the Winter Sports series, you may wish to begin things in the Training Mode in order to get used to the controls and practice each of the disciplines. Also, remember you can always check the controls by hitting Start and glancing at the Tutorial.

When you feel you're ready, start a Career and work on winning all 16 Cups, eight of which have a trophy related to them. During this playthrough, be sure NOT to use a wildcard, so as to unlock the Ace In The Sleeve trophy. Also, remember to purchase upgrades along the way, both for working towards the Possessive trophy, as well as for leveling up your team.

Next, start working on fulfilling the Challenges, to which there are 44 in total. Your ultimate goal is to unlock the Challenge Champion trophy for completing them all, though there are 9 individual trophies for each of the nine disciplines which you'll naturally unlock on your way to Challenge Champion. Also, remember to continue purchasing upgrades for the Possessive trophy.

Next, simply mop-up any remaining offline trophies you may still be missing at this point. If you still need trophies for reaching the higher levels, repeatedly winning the Boon Cup is a great way to grind for points.

Lastly, there are four online trophies to unlock: Petty Theft, Turbo Maniac, Sticky Flag, and Exact Fare. These can be done at any time. If you're having trouble finding players, be sure to check out the boosting forums under our Links tab.

Red Faction Guerrilla Trophy Guide

Red Faction: Guerrilla

Red Faction: Guerrilla is a third-person open-world action adventure, and the third installment in the Red Faction series which began on the PlayStation 2 and PC. The game takes place on a terraformed area of Mars, in which players must free each of six locations from the Earth Defense Force. The game also includes an online multiplayer mode.

Due to a lack of Earth's natural resources, the EDF has turned to Mars, forcing the society into a state of unfree labor. Alec Mason, a mining engineer, arrives on Mars and is talked into joining the Red Faction by his brother into freeing the planet from EDF's control.

Red Faction: Guerrilla received positive reviews, with an average score of 86%. Despite being criticized for its weak story and graphics, the game was highly praised for its overall fun.

With boosting, it's possible to bring this down to a high 3-star rating, though the online trophies will still take vast amounts of time. But given the game's age, even finding players to earn the online trophies legitimately with, will prove to be a challenge. Plus, there are a few offline trophies that will require some skills and patience.

If you're doing this legitimately, expect over 250 hours of gameplay. If you happen to have a good team of boosting buddies, the Platinum could be unlocked after around 150 hours or so.

You can start, of course, by going through the Campaign. As long as the missions are unlocked, they can be done in any order, except for the final one. You'll want to focus on completing Guerrilla Actions during your playthrough, as you'll eventually need 50 completed for the Revolutionary trophy. Also, there are some collectibles to find, such as radio tags, ore locations, billboards to destroy, and small hydrogen blue tanks. Check out the location guides under our Links tab.

The Warp Speed trophy can seem pretty difficult, as you will need to beat the pro times listed in getting your vehicle to a safe house. Check out the videos under the Links tab to find some shortcuts that will shave off your time. Also, Got Any Fingers Left? isn't a piece of cake, either. Again, check out the videos for demonstrations to help you.

Once you're done with the Campaign and have mopped-up all its trophies, you can head into Wrecking Crew, where you'll need to play on each of the 10 maps in order to unlock the Can't Get Enough trophy, and score 25 million points worth of damage for the Wrecking Ball trophy.

As you start working on the online trophies, the most time-consuming one will be War Veteran, in which you'll need to earn 100,000 XP. This will probably take you over 100 hours of gameplay, depending on your skills and luck at finding players to play with. Most of the other online trophies will unlock naturally as you make your way towards this trophy. Also, it should be noted that winning 250 matchmaking games for the A Winner Is You trophy can't be done through custom matches.

Good luck!

Fuel Trophy Guide

Fuel

Fuel is an open world racing game, set in a post-apocalyptic world after the ravages of global warming.

Players can freely drive across the map, experiencing such varying weather conditions as tornadoes and sandstorms, participating in challenges and collecting fuel - the world's currency - in order to participate in races. Characters and vehicles can be customized. The game also features competitive multiplayer of up to 16 players, and a co-operative mode supporting up to 4 players.

Fuel received lukewarm reviews, with an average score of 59%, criticized for poor AI in the NPC's and awkward racing mechanics.

Fuel includes three online trophies. Unfortunately, after the closure of GameSpy following the Ziff Davis acquisition of IGN Entertainment, the online servers to the game were closed on July 16, 2014. As a result, the three online trophies - and therefore the Platinum trophy - have since become Not Obtainable.

Since the online servers for Fuel were closed on July 16, 2014, the game's three online trophies - and therefore the Platinum trophy - are now Not Obtainable. However, the game still contains 31 offline trophies, so if you're still interested, then read on.

Since this is an open world game, there's no real roadmap required. However, if you're in need of some direction, you'll basically want to start unlocking camps. Do this by completing the career races in each region on Legend, to gather stars. Then, hit the unlocked Doppler truck to reveal the zones Vista points, and the Livery and Challenge locations. Essentially, and to save confusion, you'll want to completely finish a zone before moving on to the next one.

You can use the Race Editor tab to save on driving time. Simply create a short race, and select a road near the Vista or Livery location you wish to collect as your start checkpoint. Once saved, hit Try Race, and you will be automatically sent to your destination Then just quit the race.

There are several other random trophies to collect after you've completed all the challenges and career races, such as driving from one side of the map to the other twice, and collecting oil drums. Check out the Fuel trophy guide links under our Links tab for whatever you're missing to mop-up the offline trophies.

Unfortunately with the online servers closed, this is as far as we can go.

Wheelman Trophy Guide

Wheelman Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  An action adventure in an open-world and featuring actor Vin Diseal as both the voice and digitized character. Though doable for any average player, the Platinum requires both skills and time.

Wheelman

Wheelman is an action-adventure title which stars Vin Diseal as a digitized and voiced character. The game takes place in an open world based on the Barcelona location, in which players engage in driving missions, while also travel on foot in third-person. The game includes 31 story missions, as well as 105 side missions.

Milo Burik is an agent working undercover. His mission is to join a gang in Barcelona and learn about their plans to perform a huge heist.

Wheelman received widely mixed reviews, with an average score of 73%, praised for its driving moves and overall fun by some, while criticized for its story mode and graphics by others.

The 3-star difficulty rank is due to a combination of time required, and some skills. While playing through the story is relatively easy, achieving an S-rank on all side missions can be frustrating at time, as well as time consuming. Still, with enough patience, the Platinum is quite doable for any average player.

Expect roughly between 35-50 hours on this one, depending on your skills and luck with the side missions.

You'll first want to work through the 31 story mode missions. However, it should be noted that the Paulo's Peace, Stavo's Swansong, and Radu's Requiem trophies are missable, due to the fact that you can only kill one boss for each playthrough. So if you're interested in getting all the trophies in one go, make saves when their respective missions, Balance of Power: Lantos Battle, Balance of Power: Chulos Battle, and Balance of Power: Romanian Battle, become available. Once you've completed one, load your save and do the next, until you've gotten all of their respective trophies.

Next, it's time to mop-up all those remaining trophies. Here is where you'll spend the bulk of your time. Performing all 50 cinematic stunt jumps will earn you the Jump In My Car, Dukes Of Barcelona, and White Men Can Jump trophies. Also, destroying 100 cat statues will earn you the Art Critic, Cat Hater, and Wreaking Havok trophies.

With those out of the way, you can move onto completing all 105 side missions with an S-rank, which will unlock the gold trophy, I Live For This stuff, as well as the other stackable 15 trophies. While a vast number of these side missions are quite doable, some can be rather frustrating. Check out the guides under our Links tab for extra tips if you're struggling.

After that, simply mop-up any last few remaining trophies you may need, and you're done!
