Spellspire is a puzzle game with RPG elements that utilizes word spelling, similar in style to Letter Quest. Players control a lone wizard attempting to climb the floors of a tower in order to reach the final Dragon. Along the way, players battle against different monsters. Each level includes 10 random letters which the player must use to form a word that can be used to defeat the monsters. Players earn money which can be used at shops for items such as damage and health bonuses, robes, hats and wands.

Spellspire received lukewarm reviews with an average score of 63%, praised for its visuals, challenge, and word puzzles, though criticized for a lack in variety of monsters and overall repetitiveness.

The Platinum for Spellspire is actually fairly easy, especially if you are using a Word Finder. However, reaching the 100th floor to battle and defeat the Dragon takes a lot of time and grinding, hence the 3-star difficulty rating. While the developer 10tons has hinted at moving the Dragon down to the 75th or 50th floor, no such patch has yet been released. The Platinum may not be hard, but will take a big chunk out of your time.

Expect around 80-100 hours for the Platinum.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS Vita.

First, it should be noted that if you’re having trouble forming words, check out the Word Finders under our Links tab to help you.

If you’d like to get four quick trophies out of the way, then start the game and ascend to Level Two. Here, spell the word CENTRALEST. This will unlock the What’s In The Box, The Dreadful Eight, Spelled To The Nines, and the 10tons Of Letters trophies for having spelled up to a 10-letter word.

After that, simply continue making your way up to the top of the tower, where you will be unlocking a few trophies naturally along the way. To avoid too much future grinding, try to complete as many star challenges as you can. If there are some you are unable to finish, fear not. There will be a chapter select afterwards, where you can return with purchases upgrades to complete those star challenges.

With that done, it’s time for the long grind. You will need to descend through the endless dungeons until you reach the Chrome Dragon, who is waiting for you on the 100th level. This is where you will be spending the majority of your time on your quest for the Platinum. Along the way, you should hopefully unlock the Thesaurus trophy for finding 25% of the available words in a level, as well as the Dungeon Master trophy for reaching 150m distance in the dungeon. You will unlock a few other trophies naturally on your way down. Once you’ve found and slayed the Chrome Dragon, you will unlock the Here Be No Dragons trophy.

Finally, use the chapter select to mop-up any outstanding trophies you may still need for the Platinum. Be sure to check out the Spellspire trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.
