For some of us, summer vacation is upon us. And rather than take a trip overseas, why not stay home and work on your trophy list? To help with that, Sony has just announced their PlayStation Plus free games July 2026 line-up which will be available for download on Tuesday, July 7.

First, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Cross-Gen Bundle, the first-person shooter developed by Sledgehammer Games and the twentieth main installment in the Call of Duty series. With events following directly after its predecessor, Captain Price and Task Force 141 travel across the world to face war criminal Vladimir Makarov.

Next, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s For the King II, the 2023 RPG developed by IronOak Games and published by Curve Games. Following the events of the first game, the Queen has turned evil, forcing the adventurers to defeat her. The game includes both single-player and co-op.

Finally, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s CrossCode, an action RPG developed by Radical Fish Games and published by Deck13. Players control Lea, a person who wakes up in a fictional MMORPG with no memory and ability to speak. Players must solve puzzles and defeat enemies, in 16-bit-style graphics.

Among the PlayStation Plus free games July 2026 line-up, both For the King II and CrossCode have platinum trophies to unlock. However, only the PS4 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Cross-Gen Bundle has a platinum trophy, as it has its own standalone trophy list. However, the PS5 version is part of Modern Warfare 2’s DLC.

Among these titles, obtaining the platinum for CrossCode is arguably the easiest. The game itself is of average difficulty, although some puzzles require excellent timing, even when following a guide. Expect around 50-60 hours of gameplay for this one.

Next, unlocking the platinum on the PS4 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Cross-Gen Bundle is also average in difficulty, depending on your FPS skills. However, there is a fair bit of online grinding involved, as you will need to get 50,000 kills. Expect around 30-40 hours of gameplay for this one.

Finally, obtaining the platinum for For the King II can be rather challenging, as you will need to beat the chapters on the hardest setting. Also, there is quite a lot of grinding to do, as well as multiple playthroughs, which brings the necessary gameplay up to over 100 hours.
