Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage

Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage is a spin-off of the Dynasty Warriors series, following a similar "musou" style 3D beat 'em up, with a similar control scheme. Players can select from three different fighting styles, while acquiring new skills by unlocking them throughout the game.

Based on the manga and anime franchise Fist of the North Star by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara, the story is set in a post-apocalyptic world. Kenshiro is a warrior and successor of a fighting style known as Hokuto Shinken, allowing him to defeat enemies by using the body's vital points. Kenshiro must protect his clan and the innocent from the ravagers who threaten their lives.

Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage received rather mixed reviews, with an average score of 62%, praised for its faithfulness to the manga and anime series and presentation, but criticized for being just another brawler and lack of originality.

This game is not difficult at all, and there's no online trophies to worry about. The 2-star rating is just for the time required to collect the platinum, with lots of battling and grinding ahead of you.

The Platinum can be unlocked in roughly 50 hours or so of gameplay.

Your path towards the platinum is rather linear. Also, it should be noted that there are no difficulty-related trophies, so feel free to play on Easy mode.

You'll first want to start on Legend mode, and complete the story with each of the five characters: Kenshiro, Toki, Raoh, Rei, and Mamiya, in order to unlock their corresponding trophy. Also, in order to work towards the Hokuto Shinken Master trophy, you'll want to try to defeat your opponents with a combo ending with the Triangle button. Doing so will simply reduce the amount of grinding, later.

Once you've finished with the Legend mode, you can start up on Dream mode. Here, there are eight characters to play through.

Once that's finished, it's simply a matter of grinding and mopping-up anything you're still missing.
